Oblong, skinny, white pill with 650 on one side and McNeil on the other? ## Ortho McNeil pill with 650 is Ultracet. I am only guessing this because the pill for Ultracet has the imprint O-M 650 on it. Wonder if the pill you have is an older pill because Ortho McNeil is the one who currently manufactures the drugs. ## McNeil 650 ## I believe that the marking you were looking at is McNEIL 659, it is a 50mg Ultram tablet, which is a name brand for Tramadol. NDC: 00045-0659 This tablet has now been discontinued. This is different from Ultracet, since Ultracet contains Tramadol and Acetaminophen. The FDA warns that Tramadol carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. yellow oblong pill with 357 imprinted on it ## Sounds like Ultracet to me. It is a nonnarcotic pain reliever with acetametiphin in it. Dosage is one to two tablets. Anymore then two can be dangerous and don't even think about mixing it with alcohol unless you want permanant liver damage. IT won't make you high if that is what you are after. ## Did you mean the marking 537 on an oblong, yellow tablet? If so, the tablet is distributed by Amerisource Health Services, and they list it as containing 37.5mgs of Tramadol, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. NDC: 68084-0496 According to FDA reports, Tramadol does carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. ## Inactive ingredients may include: Cellulose, Mi...

A light yellow tablet with janssen t/a. Can anybody tell me what it is? ## This is Ultracet, containing 37.5 mg tramadol hydrochloride and 325 mg paracetamol. This drug is used for the management of moderate to severe pain. The physical description states "A light yellow tablet with an off-white core, with debossing as follows: 'T/A' on one side and 'JANSSEN' on the other side." Source ## Dale is correct. The NIH warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation, dry mouth, and headache. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Pale yellow capsule with markings on them "T/A" and "Janssen"

Does this drug cause headaches? ## It contains Tramadol, and Acetaminophen, so yes the FDA does warn that it may cause headaches as a side effect. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, constipation, and dry mouth. Are you on any other medications? Do you normally experience headaches? ## Another thing to consider, and may be a cause of headaches, is that tramadol has SNRI properties. These are anti-depressant effects. They do inhibit the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine and that could, also, potentially cause a headache. Considering ultracet has paracetamol in it, an analgesic commonly used to alleviate headaches, I would think that the other effects it has on the brain (mentioned above) are likely to cause headaches. BTW I do realize this question is 10 years old, lol. I j...

My 87 year old father-in-law was given Ultracet for leg pain. Whereas he has had a very sharp mind and recall he now exhibits slowness when filling out doctor office forms. His eyes lack their usual luster and he is very unsteady with his hands and feet. Is this to be expected with the use of Ultram? ## It does contain a mild opiate narcotic called Tramadol, so it could cause these types of side effects. The FDA also warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. However, if it is affecting him that badly, his doctor should be informed, as it might not be the right medication for him, and he may need to try something else. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am using amitone 10 for night sleep. Recently I have bottom back pain associated with pain in my left knee. I took one ultracet tab as a safe pain killer after meals as I have severe constipation. Getting some improvement in reduction of pain, I took one more tablet after dinner. As I am continuing with amitone tablets regularly at night, should I discontinue amitone for one day?

I'm currently taking Ultracet medicine with a batch number of 417 that's listed as being manufactured on 08/16. I would like to know how to determine the expiry of the medicine? ## The U.S. FDA lists the expiration as being one year from the date you received them, unless they are still sealed in the original factory container, or blister packs. If they, they may be good for 4 to 5 years. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. I have also been recently informed by a nurse practitioner, that the U.S. is the only country that requires expiration dates on medications. Thus, checking with your pharmacist to be sure of the regulations where you live might be advisable. Is there anything else I can help wi...

I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between them, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. The U.S. FDA classifies Ultracet as an opioid, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. is this ultracet as good as hydrocodone? ## Ultracet contains Acetaminophen and Tramadol and the Tramadol is currently classified as a narcotic, opiate. However, there is really no way to say whether one is more effective than the other, because medications work differently for different people. Some people find this to be a very effective medication and there are some people it doesn't work for, at all. The only way to really know is to try it yourself. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: Are there any other comments or questions? ## Is the yellow hydrocodone more effective than the white
