Hello, My husband has been depressed for almost 4 years. He can't sleep and and is angry all the time. He's had every test under the sun done but nothing is abnormal on a physical level. He sees a therapist who has prescribed him every type of medication out there and nothing has worked. He's been taking adderrall which works to a point but it does not help the anger. Fast forward to a month ago when he was prescribed Trintellix for the first time. We were both skeptical but it actually worked WONDERS. He was happy, motivated and taking control of his life again. I was over-the-moon because I felt like I finally got my husband back. Today he comes home from his parents in tears and tells me that the Trintellix stopped working. Now we are both so scared that things will go back to the way they were. I'm so worried for my husband now because he finally felt well, and now this. Has anyone gone through this or know why it has happened?

Has he ever tried a combination of medications? Sometimes combining a couple of different medications can help those with treatment resistant mental health issues, according to NIH reports.

The side effects may be worsened, for awhile, according to FDA reports, so he may experience more nausea, dizziness, headache, and sedation than usual, but they should go away, once his body gets used to the medications.
