What is this pill for? ## Hello, Wilt! How are you? A blue, oval tablet with the marking G 3718 on it is manufactured by Greenstone Limited and they list it as containing 0.25mgs of Triazolam. The FDA classifies this medication as a benzodiazepine, it is most commonly used to treat insomnia. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is a blue pill with g 3718 the same thing as Xanax? Is it used for the same thing that Xanax is used for? Also, is it a scheduled medication?

I have suffered chronic insomnia for over 30 years and now my current doc will not prescribe any hypnotics at all. I used to rotate 3/4 meds to avoid tolerance, on the advice of a previous, much more understanding GP. He would script me triazolam, quinalbarbitone (now called Secobarbital) or the combo Tuinal, methaqualone and flunitrazepam 2mg. I am looking for a source of TOQUILONE, made by Medichemie, Switzerland, which is precisely the same as the old, now withdrawn, drug MANDRAX. 250mg of methaqualone plus 25mg diphenhydramine. Probably the best, fastest acting sleeper I ever had, ensuring at least my 8 hrs per night. I know it's prescribed in several countries & costs about €10/25. But does anybody know if I can get it prescribed online? I can not find a d...

I have a blue elliptical pill that is scored down the middle with the imprint 0.25 on one side of the score. The package they came in was from a triazolam push pack. I have scoured the net and cannot find halcyon without some other imprint. Anyone know what this is?

i am interested to know where to acquire triazolam 0.25mg greenstone here in the Philippines.. ## Sorry, as I myself have found, Greenstone products are available purely in the USA. There is not a single online source for them. They are made by Pfizer/Upjohn, and the G 3718 tablet you seek is IDENTICAL to the Upjohn 17 Halcion brand, which is not difficult to find. I source mine from South Africa, much cheaper than most countries. A box of 100 should cost you around US $120. Very reasonable. Their alprazolam, coded G 3721 (1mg) & 3722 (2mg long white bars) are likewise identical to Upjohn 90 & 94 tablets. The advantage of Greenstone is in the price paid in the USA. There are places where the original Halcion and Xanax brands of the very highest quality are a lot less expensive t...

I am taking this medication and it makes me hard to breathe and I am tired all the time. What Company makes this medication? ## Hello, Donald! How are you? I'm sorry, but this is a generic, so there are several different companies that make it. What are the markings on it? If you can post back with them, I can check who the manufacturer is for you. Prescribed two .25mg 10X10 pills to take prior to a bone scan. Was unable to get through bone scan before (panic type attack) My question is--is this dosage considerd safe? ## According to Walgreens Pharmacy, they state; "DO NOT take 2 doses at once" in their guidelines for how to take this medication. Referenced from: That said, I wouldn't consider it to be safe, being that 0.5mg is maximum recommended dose (that you had in one sitting). Additional patient guidelines note: "Triazolam is indicated for short term use only (7 to 10 days). The maximum recommended dose is 0.5 mg." Do you have any other questions or concerns about this medication?

Can someone tell me about this drug and what it does? ## See Halcion. It is mainly used as a sedative sleeping pill, for insomnia but also has some anti-depressant and muscle relaxant properties, as well as other uses, I think. I also think it is called a benzodiazapam. ## Ah... Here's the info from the site: Triazolam (marketed in English-speaking countries under the brand names Apo-Triazo, Halcion, Hypam, and Trilam) is a benzodiazepine derivative drug.[1] It possesses pharmacological properties similar to that of other benzodiazepines, but it is generally only used as a sedative to treat insomnia.[2] In addition to the hypnotic properties triazolam possesses, amnesic, anxiolytic, sedative, anticonvulsant and muscle relaxant properties are also present.[3] Due to its short half-li...
