I don't know your age, but I am 68 and older women are very susceptible to getting infections in that area. I used it and it really helps the outer part bit I wouldn't insert it with the plastic tube without talking to my doctor first.

I have been experiencing vaginal itching for some time now. There is no thrush, no discharge or any pimples at all, just the constant itching which is becoming very uncomfortable. I however have dermatitis on my body. What can I use to stop this itching for good?

What Herpes?! That's not my issue. It Lichen Sclerosis and the itching and burning may mimic herpes. I suggest getting the area biopsy by a competent professional if you can find one. Look up a VULVAR specialist. I saw 4 before I was correctly diagnosed. Also cultures of the area are warranted. The medical community has forgotten how to do a true physical assessment. I was in the medical profession and it has lowered its competency standards. lol Good luck to all who have issues with the vajajay. I personally take baking soda baths daily and a small dose of steroid ointment but there are side effects of that as well. Good luck all.

He has not. Thank you so much for the information. I was given Diflucan because there was a small amount yeast this is not a yeast infection. My husband has no itching what so ever. We were not intimate for about 3 weeks to see if it got better, but it did not. I've been to 2 different doctors. It is not a sti. Can thick hair be causing such irritation?

You might have a uti if your burning when you pee. Yeast sometimes can cause that too but there is stuff in the stores you can buy for that. You need to be seen by the doctor to make sure it’s being treated correctly. If it is a yeast some things to keep from getting it is. When using the bathroom wipe from front to back, baths sometimes can cause it, if your swimming in the summer make sure you take your bottoms off as soon as possible don’t leave wet bottoms on Bacteria grows. Eat yogurt, that helps. I buy wipes to wipe with bc toilet paper sticks to me and causes problems. I hope this helps...

Re: Irritated (# 16) Expand Referenced Message

I agree most of them sound like they simply have a yeast infection possibly, or maybe just irritation from shaving or something (if they in fact shave). It could be a vast array of things. Doesn't mean they have genital herpes, but either way go to your Obgyn and get yourself checked out. That's the only way to know for sure! Good luck!

Nice, really. Most of us have this cream because of psoriasis. Genital psoriasis is a thing. But thanks for playing.

Or the women may learn from their MD that it is pustular psoriasis like I did.

Re: medahealthman (# 15) Expand Referenced Message

Hi, I am no MD, but after 20 plus years of having an undiagnosed condition occurring occasionally on one area of my external vulva and on the same wrist, I randomly showed my wrist to my podiatrist who immediately said it was pustular psoriasis. For me, it's induced by stress, and starts as a small painful skin bump that gets much bigger, itches like crazy and becomes a huge group of pus like skin cells, resembling tapioca. I was so relieved to have a diagnosis. It isn't contageous and even though it is painful (I thought it was shingles!) I don't have it as bad as some. I remember it popped up originally when I was pregnant. Best wishes!

Re: medahealthman (# 15) Expand Referenced Message

No this is NOT herpes, it is as a result of chemical burns from the wrong gel used instead of lubricant gel. Is there anything that can be used to help the healing process and stop the itching and burning?
