The warning label for this medication does note the following information regarding eye contact: "This medication is to be used as directed by the physician. It is for dermatologic use only. I use triamcinolone acetonide cream usp 0.1 % for my psoriasis. I just want to know when I use it if I can go outside and take in some direct sun on the beach or is it necessary that I remove the product from my body before going out? ## Since it is absorbed into the skin, you actually can't remove it and its effects on sun sensitivity will remain as long as you continue using it. It is best to avoid prolonged sun exposure, but if you have to go out in it, then make sure to use a stronger sunscreen than usual and drink extra water, as long as it is safe for you to do so, to avoid dehydration. Such medications tend to make you much more sensitive to the sun and heat, so not being cautious can create the risk of your burring faster and developing heat stroke or dehydration sooner than...

I have a 6 month old tattoo and was prescribed this for my psoriasis. Will this affect the tattoos longevity? ## Hi Dez, I noticed there was another discussion thread here asking a similar question and just wanted to share the link with you: Ref - Can I use triamcinolone cream on my new tattoo I've also read reports from others with tattoos who have used steroid creams and didn't experience any fading. However my personal view is that a fading tattoo would probably come secondary to my health; especially since it can be retouched. Have you considered researching any natural alternatives for psoriasis treatment? My brother used to have psoriasis and had success with light therapy. Apple cider vinegar has also been touted as a treatment option. Hope this helps!

Just wanted to know can i use triamcinolone acetonide cream on flea bites on my neck. ## Hello, Freddie! How are you? Wow! How many times did they bite you? I've always hated fleas, because they can bite multiple times and they are so hard to get rid of, totally annoying pests. Years ago, I had a cat that became anemic due to flea bites, even though I'd treated him with flea preventatives, they didn't work, after a nice vet bill, I discovered that I needed to use a more potent one on him, and they had me use one for small dogs. As to the cream, it may help with the itching, if your doctor approves of your using it, however, according to the FDA, it may also cause itching as a side effect, along with skin dryness, cracking, burning and rash.

Okay so last night I was staying the night with a friend and we were perfectly fine not pitching no marks nothing and then this morning tee wake up to both of us itching and breaking out all over ## Hello, Diedra! How are you? Flea bites would not cause all over itching and breaking out. They would be small areas localized to just where you were bitten. Have you consulted your doctor? It sounds like this may be something else, possibly bed bugs, which must be treated differently. That said, no this ointment should not use, unless your doctor instructs you to do so, because using it for the wrong condition could worsen the problem. The FDA lists its typical side effects as including skin redness, irritation, itching and acne. ## Can gold bond anti itch cream be used for flea bites on a p...

I used some tac 0.1 in eucerin cream on my face in spots were zits would not go away and now I look like I have full blown acne. it has little blisters. I just used it on my face so can the rest of my body be in the sun or not? how long until this goes away as the zits I had before were minimal and I should of never used it in the first place..... so stupid!!! ## Yes, that was a bad idea. It contains Triamcinolone, which is listed by the FDA as a steroid class medication and they can actually cause acne as side effects. However, this would not explain the blistering, so you should have that checked out by your doctor. Other side effects to topical use may possibly include skin irritation, dryness and redness. Have you ever gotten cold sores? If so, that may explain the blisters, since s...

Can i use it inside mu vulva my doctor gave it to me for a yeast infection ## Based on my research, the dosing and administration guidelines note, to apply the cream to the affected area two to four times daily; and to rub in gently. However the precautions also state that it is not recommended for this cream to be used on delicate skin areas like groin, armpits, face, etc; so it may not necessarily be a good idea to apply it directly inside your vulva, but rather on the outskirts of it. In my opinion, it may even be best to contact your doctor for appropriate information on how to apply the dressing. As I'm not sure how important it is for the cream to be directly on location versus being applied on surrounding areas, since it all gets metabolized in a similar manner anyway. I hope...
