Hello, Davoe! How are you?

Yes, the older you are the more sensitive you can become to side effects, to you may experience more of them and experience them more intensely than younger people.

The U.S. FDA lists the typical ones for Sovaldi as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, feeling tired and insomnia.

Are you on any other medications?

Hi, I am genotype 3 and just finished the treatment on the 11/8. The past week has been somewhat an anxious time. Things began fine, as the first blood work I had after 28 days showed my liver function was normal. Then at about day 50 the s*** hit the fan. I was so ill. Constipated, lethargic and savage depression. This lasted up until about the last week. I had to keep reminding myself that the depression was due to the medication I was taking. Terrible times. I put on weight, my stomach swelled up. I was unable able to exercise due to the physical pain I was in. Nowhere was any information available about what I was experiencing. I'm 59 and have been HepC positive for the past 35 years. The first post treatment blood work showed I was clear of the virus. So fingers crossed, the next one is in November. I just wonder what life is going to be like post HepC. The only negative is that it played havoc with my Type-2 Diabetes and still feeling mildly constipated. But the last two days I have gone back to the gym which is good and I've already started to loose weight. I just wonder what the future will bring and how to use the time I have left productively.

If I had my time over again,I would not go near the crap,I feel worse 12 MTHS after treatment virus not showing but if I have to feel like this ,IV had it felt much better pretreatment no support from anybody ,I think it was just a plot to get rid of a minority group, the majority of people don't agree with there lifestyle, please don't trust them ,we are guinea pigs,I know 6 people who have either passed away or have cancers.
