Tramadol, Metallic Taste Side Effect?

I have been on Tramadol for about 2 months, have you heard of a metallic taste from taking this? I was taking Gabapentin and thought that it was that, but off over month a still have metallic taste?

Yes, it can sometimes affect your sense of taste, as a side effect. The FDA warns that it may be habit forming and other side effects to Tramadol may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

It's a very common thing with most medications, actually. It can also be worsened by the dry mouth, so you may find some relief by sucking on mints, or something, if your doctor approves, to help keep your mouth moist.
