I’ve been on Toprol XL for years. I got a blue letter in the mail months ago. Medicare switched me to another part d plan. I didn’t get the letter until two months after they said they sent it to me. I thought I was getting junk mail from WellCare in Florida, so I ignored it. Little did I know that they had enrolled me into that plan without my knowledge. WellCare denied my exception for Toprol XL. I’m appealing the decision. They’ve had me on the phone for hours and lied to me. Silvercript (my former insurance) also lied to me. They told me that I had to pay $50 a month and I receive Extra Help. I looked it up, it was supposed to be $7.20 a month or zero a month. Unless I’m missing something. Hello. After searching and searching, the concept of an actual expiration of a drug seems to be very two-sided. Obviously, the manufacturer does not want to tell people that their drug is still 99.9% effective after 10 years because they would have to analyze it which would take ten years, they would be liable for various reasons, and they want you to buy more instead of taking old medicine. That is capitalism and I support it and understand it. However, does anyone know what the actual shelf life of Toporol XL is? What if there is a natural disaster or (insert other unexpected reason here) and I cannot get to a pharmacy or the pharmacy cannot provide it? I have just begun taking toprolol ER 25 mg for high blood pressure. I have a cold and want to know if I can take Dayquil medicine for my cold. If not what can I take? ## can i take dayquail with zubsoul ## Marilynn, if the formulation of Dayquil that you are taking contains Phenylephrine, then no, it can cause blood pressure elevations, so it is generally contraindicated in anyone with high blood pressure, or a cardiac condition, according to FDA warnings. Taking Toprol Xl for blood pressure. 25 mg tab. Bad disc in back at L3-L4 area. Have had shots for pain due to disc problems, for my pain is located in my hips. Can barely walk . Hi, I am a HCM (non obs) patient. Was tking Amidarone 200 last three years for drop beat. stopped 4mnth ago, due to Thyroid prob (tsh 0). now taking Concor5mg twice a day. Mornng5mg+ evening5mg.But swelling at leg and no major drop beat. Holter test ok. Clostrol ok. But tyroid is still not ok. I've been on Toprol XL 50mg for a little over one year. Since then I have gained 20lbs and have notice an overall increase in my appetite. Has anyone else had this reaction? ## ABSOLUTELY!
