Had enlarged prostate made smaller 2 years ago...was 90% better for a year and a half but recently was having night problems with flow and starting. Took ONE Flomax 3 days ago, and was immediately better. Wanted to see if I could get away with every other day. Been 3 days now and everything still fine. Wonder how long this will last, primary dr. was surprised the slow flow and starting returned.

Your doctor didn't provide you with any advice or information?

Flomax contains the active ingredient Tamsulosin and, while it is normally taken daily, it is possible that it may work better for you taken every other day, or so. This method is frequently used with medications, when someone is very sensitive to them and experiences a lot of side effects, since it may help reduce them, but still allow them to experience the benefits of the drug.

Doctor prescribed every day. Because it lowers BP, and my condition isn't moderate or severe, I thought I would try to see how long it would actually work without taking too many. I find now that it will work quite well for four days. I also started taking saw palmetto, to see if that would help as well. Just started it, so no results as yet.
