This stuff didn’t really work for me, but I encourage everyone to try it. Just check the source because there was a recall recently because one vendor’s stuff contained salmonella. And last year another vendor’s product tested positive for lead or something. But yes, try it. The red strains came closest to working for me. I mixed the powder with chocolate milk because the chocolate kills some of the bitterness.

So you have to buy the book in order to figure out which Kratom is for what ailment?

How can Kratom be obtained? Is it bought over the internet and are there the same problems of fake ingredients being used since it isn’t regulated? Is it legal? I live in Ohio. I am interested in it for pain relief.

Regarding the citation referencing "The Kratom Bible – A Complete Guide to Kratom", (if you visit the link), "The Kratom Bible" isn't a book but rather a webpage with a detailed table of contents denoting the different properties of Kratom. No book appears to be for sale...at least from what I can tell.

Hi Claude. You can purchase Kratom online from various retailers or at local smoke shops. I would just encourage ample research to know which vendors you can trust and which ones to avoid. If you do that then you shouldn't have to worry about any unwanted fillers or adulterants being added.

As of now, Kratom is currently illegal in the following states (and cities) in the US:

-Alabama
-Arkansas
-Indiana
-Vermont
-Rhode Island
-Washington D.C.
-Wisconsin
-Sarasota County (Florida)
-San Diego (California)
-Jerseyville (Illinois)
-Denver (Colorado) – banned for human consumption

Since you're based in Ohio there shouldn't be any problems with obtaining Kratom. :)
