The Art Of Pain Relief

Chronic pain is a multifaceted inflammatory condition that often requires immediate access to any feasible form of treatment.

Scientifically, we know that pain and inflammation are synonymous. We also understand that opioids are one of the best-known treatment options for masking chronic intractable pain/inflammation. After all, poppies were put on this planet for a reason... But with so much regulatory interference, political upheaval and restricted access to opioids, we all have to wonder, is there anything else on earth that comes remotely close which we as a society may have overlooked?

Chronic pain doesn't wait around for us to find something that works. Like an old scar, it will remain constant every waking hour and every hour of sleep. Therefore it is crucial that we must act quickly, never stop searching and always keep our options open. Through hundreds of years of research, accounts of personal experience, and a never-ending desire to feel better, humans must continue working together to save our society from this treacherous storm called pain.

Many of us have explored the effects of diet on inflammation, the healing properties of plants, the health benefits of physical activity, reducing stress factors, acupuncture, meditation, prayer and a combination of different therapies to no avail... Are you one of these people? If so, you're not alone. After searching for so long, many of us get caught up dwelling in a sense of hopeless remorse, feeling distraught and fragile, knowing that our preferred method of pain relief is being so heavily guarded by the powers that be, the enemies of humankind... But in this vulnerable state, we must take a look at the bigger picture. We cannot forget that opioids aren't a permanent fix either. They'll wear off in short order, reminding us once again that our bodies were never truly healed. Not to mention, we aren't the ones who decide if our pain deserves to get treated by them.

This is where the art of pain relief comes into play. The art of pain relief is a juggling act of different treatment modalities that keep us at bay. They don't always take away our pain, but they can help make life more manageable than going on without. This art form involves anywhere from 1 to several different forms of medicine or therapy on a daily basis. Every morning, afternoon and evening we may switch it up to the tune of "the next best thing". The art of pain relief says, "If I can't eat a jackfruit, then I'll eat 3 oranges, a banana, and a watermelon to feel satiated". It says, "If I'm being denied opioids for relief, I will at least try _____, _____, & _____, because 6/10 pain is better than 10/10 pain." Practicing the art of pain relief is "a mindset" and an "attitude" that can act as a lifeline when other options cease to exist.

-Boswelia
-Spirulina
-Magnesium
-Glucosamine/MSM
-Blackseed oil
-Devil's claw
-White Willow Bark
-Probiotics (a healthy gut helps the mind)
-Swimming/Aquatic movement as a form of physical activity that's easy on joints
-Rebounding (another form of physical activity that's easy on joints compared to running)
-Meditation & Prayer (to keep a level head)
-Reiki / Energy Therapy
-Staying hydrated with purified "alkaline" water
