Telma-am-h 80 Versus Listril-sm And Tenoric 50

Updated

I am 65 years old and hypertensive for last 30/35 years. I am under medication for long and presently taking Listril-SM tab and Stamlo 5, one each in the morning and Tenoric 50 one tablet at night.
Recently one Cardiologist advised me to take one tab. Telma-AM-H 80 in the morning replacing the other medicines and also to replace Colsprin 100 with Ecosprin Gold 20.
The problem is I tried Telma 40 and subsequently Telma-H a couple of years ago as per advise of a Cardilogist but it failed to maintain my blood pressure. On the contrary it shoots upto 190/100. The pressure becomes 140/80 after switching back to Listril-SM with addition of Stamlo 5.
While Lisonopril seems to be suiting me why Cardilogists insisting on Telsartan ? Is this a better medicine or avoid using Tenoric ?

I am 60 and taking bp medicines (Telma Am and Bisolol 5mg)for 2 years. My bp remains in the range of 130-140/80-90. Recently one senior cardiologist advised me to take single tab Misart H instead of taking two medicines. Please advise?

Samar, some doctors just prefer one medication over another, based on their experience using it with other patients. However, did you tell him that you have tried it and it didn't work for you?

Mahesh, are you certain of the name of the medication they told you to switch to? I can't find anything listed under Misart-H, can you please double check?

Yes I told that. Doctor was not in favour of Tenoric I presume. The reason was neither known nor made it clear to me.
