I AM DIABITIES PATIENT, IN AUGUST 2010, DR. SUGGEST ME TO TAKE TELISTA 40 AND GALVUS MET 50/850 MG, AFTER FOOD 2 TMES DAILY,
I USE REGULARLY, PL. TELL US IF TIS MEDICINE HAVE ANY SIDE EFFECT.
or any better substitute, medicines are costly, i am unable to afford

GalvusMet contains the active ingredients Vigaliptin and Metformin, these are both oral antidiabetic medications.

The side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and flatulence.

Telista contains the active ingredient Telmisartan, it is an ARB that is used to help treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions.

Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, headache and low blood pressure.

Have you tried asking your doctor or pharmacist if there are any generics or cheaper alternatives available? Since I don't know where you are located, I am not certain what else is available for you.

And as to the GalvusMet, it really works better if it is taken just before a meal, rather than just after. This allows your body to start processing the medication, while you are eating and can give better blood sugar control.

Sudershan, we are based in the U.S., so I don't know what else is available on the market for you that may be cheaper. Have you tried asking your doctor or pharmacist?

The Matilda Forte is just a nutritional supplement, which contains: mecobalamin 1500 mcg, vitamin B6 3 mg, alpha lipoic acid 200 mg, folic acid 1.5 mg and biotin 200 mcgs.

I also can't find anything listed under the name Flimy, or a similar variation. Are you certain of the name and spelling?

I am 57 years old.I am diabetic.PP- 135. & fasting.- 120
BP 90/135. doctor prescribed me in the month of may 2010 Glemulin 1MG & telista 40mg one tab each daily.My another doctor suggested not to take telista as the BP at this age does not require telista or any bP medicenMy weight has reduced from 70kg to 66 kg during the last one year & complexion is becoming wheatish.skin has become dull.pls suggestwhether to take BP medicen and how to gain weight my height is 5' 8'' and to regain weight and complexion

Vijay, elevated blood pressure, at any age, requires treatment. I am not sure what the other doctor was talking about, the 130 isn't really high, but the 90 is and it could put you in danger if it is allowed to go higher.

As to the weight loss and skin issues, it is very hard to suggest any ideas, without knowing what has caused it. Have you consulted a doctor about that, yet?

It could be from your medications, or a natural process of aging.

I am diabetic since 1976. For the last 10 years, I am on insulin starting with mixtard and now Actrapid. B.P. is Ok with drugs. I am taking other heart related medicines daily prescribed by a Cardiologist.

I heard from a friend that with Galvusmet 50/500, there is no need to use insulin.Pl advise.
