Targit 40 Side Effects

I would like to know about the use of targit h 40 tablets and its potential side effects.

Targit-H contains Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide, it is used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions.

Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, headache and dehydration.

I am 61 years old. Taking Telma H 40+12.5 mg for BP control last 2 months. I am not diabetic. I am having difficulty in passing urine. Also sleep has reduced. Somedays in night I wake up at 2 or 3 or 4AM. Sometimes my foot has burning sensation in night or mornings. Feeling very thirsty. Doctor changed the medicine from amlodipine to this recently after I complained of difficulty in passing urine and heaviness in stomach. When I do not take the medicine for 2 days I have no such complaints.

Telma-H contains Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide.

The Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that is meant to remove excess fluid from the body, so in that light, it should make you urinate more.

Have you consulted your doctor, again?

How is your fluid intake? Are you usually taking in at least 64oz of water daily?

You need to consult your doctor, because the symptoms you are experiencing could be caused by dehydration and if that is the case, this medication will just make it worse.

I am using ATPARK 50 mg since last 10 years and BP is almost in control. Recently Doctor changed it to TARGIT 40 with which I am facing dehydration, less urination, stomach upset and dinginess. Is it necessary to Change the drug from ATPARK when i am OK with that?
