Tamsulosin Hcl Caps

Updated

Dear Sirs, My Urology Doctor give me a Rapaflo 8mg one a day medications for 3 months supply and before the end my Insurance steps in and changes the medication with a helper from the office to a new medication by the name Tamsulosin 0.4mg in return . I did check the market and I did find out that the company has more versions of this medication and the Insurance pic the last one wish is the cheapest one. I think was $9.00 for the 3 months supply instead of $140.00 or so the original Rapaflo. I do not get it. Am I wrong to check this and get the answer of me medication?

It is actually quite typical of insurance companies to opt for the cheapest effective option, to help keep their costs down. As a patient taking this medication you certainly have your right to know what's going on here as well.

It may help put you at ease to know that when you switch brand names, the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. So you are still getting the same drug and dosage, but the way you metabolize and react to the drug could be different because of these fillers. It could be to your benefit or disadvantage, but that's something you wouldn't really know until you tried it.

I hope this advice helps!

Dear David, I do have a very long medical stories since November 1998 when I had my first car accident at 5.30 am going to work at the airport 50 miles away when 2 young ones throw me out the road and scratch my car all the away across . It it started my life to go downhill medical with out any help from our medical vampire industry. A Doctor did told me that they reach over a million dollars helping me with no solution and now after the operation I end up on the floor most of the day to avoid episodes. Our Doctors DO NOT CARE FOR YOU and also the medical insurance that I have changing my medications with the Doctors and the finale is that I end up at the ER's most of the times. Today was in the news at ABC station and one person was speaking about our home country and our medical problems we have. I was very very sucked when he stated on national TV that we have the worst medical globally . I did new that myself anyway but no one wants to hear from me even I was writing letters to our Senators, Congress and any website that I can express my views. I do receive replies from our Congressman and our Senators and they do express their view that our home country IS IN A MESS and will get worst. Believe it or Not. Have a good day.
