I can not refill for two days. Will I be ok ## Hello, Amanda! How are you? I'd suggest checking with your doctor. While I doubt missing a few doses will cause a significant problem, it's best to check with them to be certain. Tamoxifen is used to treat breast cancer, early breast cancer and as a prevention. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, blurred vision, headache, hot flushes and rash. Is this the only one you're on?

The other side effect is the Panic attacks which are soul destroying. I am actually thinking of coming off them as I have no quality of life and cant go on. I can live with the hot flushes and nausea but the weight gain is really getting me down, considering I dont have an appetite. ## Hello, Theresa! How are you? This is a very important medication in the treatment of breast cancer, so I'd suggest not stopping it, without consulting your doctor. Those types of side effects are normal. Are you on any other medications?

I have a high genetic risk of breast cancer and undergo diagnostics every year. I was recommended for a preventative mastectomy in a yr but my most recent scan showed a few cysts and a lesion with internal echoes. My Dr put me on tamoxifen as a preventative measure. I had a fna done which showed papillary architecture in the lesion and was recommended for a lumpectomy and mri which I am having the mri today and the surgery will depend on the results of this as to how soon they do it. Since I have started the tamoxifen I had nausea at the start which has stopped and very severe bone pain especially in my legs hips and hands it'. Worse through the night and first thing in the morning and I struggle to walk some mornings over the last few days I have also had a few nose bleeds which I ...

I have been taking Tamoxifen for 2 months for breast cancer prevention due to atypical cells in a biopsy. I'm 49 and have not gone through menopause. I'm not able to find much information on Tamoxifen for pre menopausal women. For example, will the Tamoxifen stop my periods? I have also been experiencing bloating, gas and a "sour" stomach since starting the medicine but can't find any info as to if this is normal and what may help. I also have experienced weight gain and wondered if there were any suggestions for this. I eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly. ## Hi LL, According to the Tamoxifen Drug Details page, this medication is considered to be a common therapy for breast cancer in both "pre and post" menopausal women. I don't know what it's...

I did five years of this as I was advised that this would help. I think I had more things wrong with me in that five years than I'd had in the previous 60! I did ask, 'Why five years?' and was told that that was considered the right amount of time. ??? I'm not sure whether it was doing me good, or the drug companies, but when you are first diagnosed you are frightened and believe whatever they tell you. The surgeon told me they don't use the word 'cure' - that was encouraging - but the radiologist told me I could possibly never have anymore problems now that it had been dealt with. I chose to believe the radiologist. I did ask about the alternative drug Arimadex, but was told it causes bone thinning. I did get hot flushes again when I was on Tamoxifen, which ...

I have been on tamoxifin for a year ,only side affects has been weight gain.I'm thinking about trying raspberry ketones supplements to lose weight.I eat healthy and work out every day ,but can't seem to lose the weight. ## I'm sorry, but since the Raspberry Ketones are actually considered a supplement and not a medication, they haven't been tested for possible problems and interactions with prescription drugs. I've tried doing some search to see if I could find anything, even user reports, but nothing is turning up. Thus, the only suggestion I can make is to check with your doctor or pharmacist, they may have more information from experience with other patients/customers. Has anyone used them together? i just got some pillz and i want to know what it is dark blu coated white pill round shape letter n on one side and 10 on other ## Is this pill blue or white in color? I found two small round white pills with the marking N on one side and 10 on the other. They are both Canadian and were made by Novopharm (now known as Teva-Canada). If the N is very fat and looks embedded then it's 10mg of Tamoxifen Citrate (Nolvadex), an antiestrogen drug. If the N is normal looking then it's 10mg of Domperidone (Novo-Domperidone), a gastrointestinal drug. There's other N 10 imprints but they're different colors, depending on whether yours is actually white or blue? I didn't quite understand your reference to the pill being coated white or if it's just partially white? Any clarif...

Will begin treatment post surgery next week. Would appreciate input about options. I am told that I need 5 wks. of radiation, and chemo? I don't know what they will suggest yet. They found the margins of the lumpectomy clear and no lymph node involvement. Now what?? ## I had a successful lumpectomy, with clear margins and no cancer in the sentinel lymph nodes. In spite of that I am told I need 5 wks. of radiation and chemo also. Anyone else been given this treatment for similar outcomes?? ## I had 36 radiation treatments and they wanted me to follow with the tamoxifen pill...started the pill for two months every day and found it messed me up....anxiety attacks and panic attacks...quit taking it until I talk to someone about it, the side effects are not good...... ## Like you, my lum...

I found these and i been looking all over the web to figure out what this is ! round white pill one side has number 10 and on the other side it has the letter N .. PLEASE help me figure this out ! ## Hi Sara, This small white-round pill is Canadian and made by Novopharm. It's actually one of two drugs with the same imprint (both being white): If the N is very fat and looks embedded then it's 10mg of Tamoxifen Citrate (Nolvadex), an antiestrogen drug. If the N is normal looking then it's 10mg of Domperidone (Novo-Domperidone), a gastrointestinal drug. There's other N 10 imprints but they're different colors. Novopharm is bad about ambiguous imprints; they have at least 10 different N 10 pills that I'm aware of. I hope this helps! :)

Its small and has the letter N on one side and the other the number 10. The writing is in black and is not imprinted. Ive been told it was a painkiller. ## Hi dr, Information I've gathered states that the pill you are describing is Canadian and manufactured by a company called Novopharm. It's one of two drugs with the same imprint (both being white). If the "N" is very fat then it's a 10mg Tamoxifen Citrate (Nolvadex) tablet, which is an anti-estrogen drug. If the "N" is normal it's 10mg Domperidone (Novo-Domperidone), a gastrointestinal drug. There's other "N 10" imprints but they're different colors. I have been ;on tamoxifen for 5 yrs. due to breast cancer. I gained 40 pounds. Will I lose weight when I get off the tamoxifen. I am getting off next month. ## Will I lose weight after quitting taking tamoxifen for 5 yrs. I have gained 40 pounds and am getting off next month. ## Well, it's really going to depend on whether or not the Tamoxifen was the sole contributor to the weight gain, but either way a good diet plan and exercise will certainly help. Have you discussed it with your doctor? They would be best able to advise you on the safest and healthiest ways for you to lose the weight.

Wife is taking Tamoxifen 20MG for breast cancer. Her refill is different than the previous filled perscription. It is a white pill and has a M on one side and the number 274 on the other side. Is that correect for Tamoxifen 20 MG? ## Yes, that is the correct tablet, it contains 20mgs of Tamoxifen. It is normal for the pharmacy to sometimes switch which manufacturer they purchase generic medications from, depending on whichever company was offering the cheapest supply at the time they needed to restock their shelves. This helps them keep the prices as low as possible for their customers that don't have insurance. Is there anything else I can help with?
