Take Oxycodone 5mg Swab Drug Test Is Positive Opiates

I take 5 mg oxycodone and have so for years , on occasion I have taken a few 15mg my probation officer is saying with my past two swab tests that I am positive for opiates . I thought oxycodone is an opiate. He said they can test the levels and that i must be overusing or abusing. Is it possible to tell exactly what I took between 5mg and a 15mg. Im allowed 8 a day of 5mg if i happen to have taken the 15mg but only at the most 3 and no 5's can they tell that ???

They will tell you that just to try and scare you from taking a larger dose. But there test will tell them simply POS. or NEG..

YES, I do believe with mouth swab they can detect exact levels of the opioid and that is the point of it. Doc wants to CYA and make sure we3 are all taking the dosages prescribed. Im in same boat and just had my first mouth swab test. Because I took more than prescribed, they will not see any level of opioid for me and I will be in big trouble and probably dropped from his office. I have been living in chronic pain for about 10 years now. I originally had a bad accident (fall from 20 feet high landing upside down on my head and left shoulder). Needless to say, I destroyed my left shoulder, collar bone, ...many tendons, muscles, bones broken etc. In all, I have had 5 open resconstructive shoulder surgeries. The reason was that after the first surgery, it failed within 2 weeks. The rookie doc had done a procedure that was never going to work in my case. So, I did what I should have done originally and located a shoulder specialist. He revised the shoulder and used tendons taken out of my hamstring and wrist to secure my AC joint and blah, blah, blah. Still pain, 2 more adjustment surgeries. By year 7 of dealing with this, the surgeon said he couldnt help any more and referred me to pain doc. I saw pain doctor for 3 years.... coping with bad chronic neck and shoulder pain like you could not imagine. I was put on Duragesic (fentynal) patch and that helped more than anything. But, with opioids....it is the only drug that as you take more...your body adjusts and build a tolerance. Well, this is a major problem for those o fus who truely have chronic pain. My dose kept getting upped on Fentanyal, bc I needed more to get the same pain relief. A nasty mess to say the least. I got dependent on Fent patch to point I was doubling my dose and putting two patches on. Yea, I know...save it (I was dumb). I suppose I was addicted by that point. Here I am, making things much worse for myself because NOT only was I dealing with sharp, achey terrible nerve pain every day with pain running up my left side of neck into my head, imobility with left arm and so on....BUT I added another major complication to my life by getting attached to my Fentanyl patches and double dosing. Therefore, I would run out early every month by about 2 weeks. Could not get early prescriptions obviously. The withdrawls from Fentanyl are said to be even worse than dope sickness. Its not a pissing contest...but Fentanyl is several hundred more times stronger than morphine. And, its synthetic. I began sucking on them, etc. I almost took my life on 3-4 occassions with suicide notes all written and ready.....I nearly ended it mainly to rid myself of the horrible withdrawls. So bad I just wanted them to end...and on top of my chronic pain. Anyway, specialists eventually discovered nerve tumors which were the culprit for all these years. The original punk rookie doc who did my first surgery botched my shoulder so badly that he cut through and damaged many nerves which developed masses on the damaged ends which was causing constant pain signals to my brain. A new doc cut out all the neuromas and my pain is mostly gone. Reduced by 40%...so that is good, I will take it. Now, I am on much lower dose of oxycontin and oxycodone for acute pain. Something similar is happening today for me. I am taking more than prescribed bc I want the same pain relief. I will never go back on Fentanyl....but a recent swab at my doc offic will prob reveal that I took all my meds too early before the monthly script ends.

Yes they can tell, although they are the same medication practically.. They can detect exact chemicals, for 10mg, 15mg, and 30mg they use slightly different or added chemicals, hence the different colors... And no it's not food coloring. But yes they can tell...

They can test levels, but every person metabolizes meds differently so they can't say for certain that you are taking 15 s instead of 5 s. The gc/sm test doesn't check for binders. You're fine if you insist that you are taking your own prescription.
