my mom had heart valve surgery 10 years before to re-leave block in the valve, but no artificial valve was fixed. she was taking tablets(kaypen, lacix, lanoxin, ecosprin, kcl). Before one year she had her foot injured . for the past six months she found both her foot swollen. what is the risk of this symptom, moreover she became thin than before. suggest me the necessary steps to follow.

I am Indian, married and 64. I had undergone consecutively an Angioplasty and Bypass on 2 separate arteries in 2010. Since then I have been prescribed 1 Tab. Ecopsprin 150 mg once a day. I have been taking this without break for over last 51/2 years. Now I have to undergo Dental Treatment which might involve Total Tooth extraction and replacement by Dentures. My dentist has indicated that I might require temporary suspension of the Tab for say 10 days for the extraction. Is it safe to discontinue the TAB for say 10 days, as advised by the Dentist. It can be recommenced post extraction. Please advise.
