Synthroid Side Effect

I started taking Synthroid 75 mg just about a week ago. Since I started taking it, I notice that the skin on my neck has become bumpy and almost scaly. Its not flaky but its rough. It isn't itching or anything but I have never had skin on my neck like this. Should I be concerned? Is this an allergic reaction? Im not sure what I should do about it.

Hi Kristin,

Do you think it may be due to some sort of sensitivity to heat (similar to heat hives)? Just wondering because that is actually listed as a side effect of this medication.

It also mentions that you should tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away. So that may have to be your next step if it's remains a deep concern.

I don't think its due to heat. I am freezing cold all the time. Sweatshirts, blankets are my new norm lately. But I will call the doc and see if they think that maybe its an allergic reaction. Thanks :)
