Usually, unless your doctor or pharmacist has instructed otherwise, you can do a clean switch at the next dosing schedule.

The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

the Norco is stronger than the Codeine, so it would be best not to double up, until you see how it is going to affect you.

How often have you been instructed to take it?

I have a toothache for which I have taken acetaminophen/codeine 300-30mg and the pain is still there. On my next dose (after 4 hours) can I switch to hydrocodone/acetaminophen (norco) 5/325 mg?
