I am very active and exposed to sunlight everyday. Do I need to keep inside and avoid the sun during the 7 days that keflex has been prescribed to me?

Avoidance is probably not necessary, but you will want to use a sun block and make sure to keep hydrated and avoid overheating.

I agree with Verwon, it is okay to be in the sun while taking Keflex (active ingredient Cephalexin). There are other antibiotics which will make you more sensitive to sunlight but this is not one of them. I checked with both Medline Plus and the NIH, and nowhere did it mention such an issue.
