I was prescribed this medication by my dermatologist for a skin disorder that he originally thought was pityrosporum folliculitis. I've been prescribed a few different medications that seemed reasonable (by internet standard) but this seems to be a little off. Is this a common medication used to cure this type of skin disorder?

Thanks in advance

You said that's what he originally thought it was, so now what does he believe it to be?

This medication is an antibiotic and isn't generally used to treat yeast based issues.
