Did your doctor give you this medication to treat it?

That definitely sounds like it's probably an infection, of some type, possibly a sexually transmitted one.

My Gosh this s*** is horrible (Ive had sinusitis and over 13 different antibiotics over my 30 years with it..) I'm not having any side effects but it dont work worth crud compared to anything worth a damn antibiotic wise. Doctor's are egotistic maniacs, if they dont believe a sinus infection "or whatever" can ever be cured by antibiotics (As delusional as that sounds.) They give stuff like this for some odd reason, just to make you think their giving you something. Another far out possibility my friend talked about was someone paying out from that drug company?. You know stocks. Ok this one is down, lets buy and start giving this one out again and make a tun off the raise in stock. Not like two porches is enough already. Why do you think meds make comebacks! WHEN THEY SUCK! Or sometimes their just really dumb doctors. Or stubborn ones that never read a patients blog or boards or whatever. Most are two source doctors. They have one or two magazines they live by that they prescribe to. And the second source is talking to older doctors that study less know stuff?? That's all they use to learn. No flexibility at all.

Michael, what else have they looked into regarding your recurrent sinusitis?

An 'itis' doesn't actually refer to an infection, although some infections can cause it, but it just refers to an inflammation. So, if it's caused by something else, then no amount of antibiotics are going to help.

It could be cause by allergies, in which case only treating the allergies properly would help.
