How do u take a subutex? Is it the same as taking as taking a suboxone? ## This is an 8mg sublingual tablet and yes, they are used in very similar ways to treat the same things, except Subutex eliminates the Naloxone that can throw someone into withdrawals from taking it too soon. Learn more Subutex details here. Since it is also an opiate narcotic, it does have the potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Are there any other questions or comments? Does anyone else have any advice to add? ## Hi katiy, I haven't found any prescribing information, but a recent review from another Subutex user was stating that "the pamphlet says to just let the tablet dissolve under your tongue, and to not swallow the table...

I just got a script for subtext today, I’m from WV but was wondering if there was anywhere in Waynesburg that would fill my script for me? Also I am prego. Which I did go to a place in Washington where my appointment was but they wanted $392 for 56 of them I thought that was a little bit ridiculous. ## They should be willing to fill it, as long as it was written in PA, though in some cases, your being from out of state might be a problem, since it is a controlled substance. Subutex does contain Buprenorphine, which is an opiate most commonly used to treat drug addiction. Unfortunately, the $392 price is about average in most of the U.S. Have you checked with any pharmacies near you? ## Hi my name is Carlie and I go to a Subutex clinic in Bridgeville pa which is WBK I am in no way ...

I would like to see some images of the subutex 'wax square' tablets (clear purple in color). I want to see the markings... if some have just the one line down the middle versus the line down AND across. ( + ) ## Unfortunately, after trying several searches I haven't been able to locate a match in any of the U.S. prescription drug databases, nor any related possibilities on google. If you are certain that this is Subutex, then it's very likely that these pills could either be manufactured outside of the U.S. or that it is a fake (not in the sense that they don't contain the said ingredients or work as intended, but the pills could be manufactured from some unknown company). Until I find a square purple pill online that is regarded as being Subutex, I have yet to think...

I've been on some type of pain meds. since I was 17 years old when I broke my lower back. I have been prescribed everything from Hydrocodone, Norco, Oxycodone, Lorcet, Roxicodone, Morphine, Duragesic patches, Demerol, Darvocet, Percocet, Marijuana & I have always Xanax or Valium for my life altering, extremely bad anxiety, deep depression & debilitating insomnia. I have also had to have three surgeries & an additional surgery do to complications with the last surgery. I also need another surgery possibly two, due to problems that occurred. I'm looking for a free way to see a Dr. & to get subutex prescriptions free or as cheap as possible. I would prefer to do an out patient treatment program but, if I had to do an inpatient treatment program do to no other choice...

Not being able to afford a Dr.-a friend of mine sometimes gives me acouple of her subutex.(like suboxone). They come in a pack where you have to punch out each square..like gum. They are square, and see-through purple. The only markings are a line going down, and a line going across.Like this +, so you have 4 little squares. But today when she gave me some, they looked the same, except there was only ONE line down the middle.I don't know why.Is anyone familiar with this drug-and seen them with just the one line down the middle? I cant find an image of subutex wax squares anywhere on-line so far. Thank you. ## Are you sure they are Subutex? It isn't even listed as being available in this type of formulation in the U.S. It is actually only available as an injection, tablets and film shee...

Hello All, I recently just got changed from suboxone to subutex due to a pretty bad allergic reaction to the naloxone in the suboxone. Basically my question for everyone is which generic do you guys prefer? My pharmacist can order any kind for me so at the moment I just got the Roxanne ones 8mg - they are white round tablets. This is my first day using and am already noticing my migraines are starting to subside, not fully, but starting to. So yeah if anyone has any suggestions please let me know all the ups and downs that you guys have been experiencing, thanks! Good luck to one and all! D ## I may not have personal experience with either of these generics, but I did want to go ahead and link you to a couple other threads here with more information on other Subutex reviews: Discuss/can...

I found Subutex in my daughter's room with a needle. Do people really IV this? Why do people take it that dont need it? ## The pill in description is Buprenorphine hydrochloride (subutex) 8 mg. It is a semi-synthetic opioid that is used to treat opioid addiction in higher dosages (>2mg) and to control moderate pain in non-opioid tolerant individuals in lower dosages (~200 mg). Yes, Subutex can be administered intravenously. This is a very addictive drug that gives off a euphoric rush similar to other opioids in addition to a slight "upper"-like effect. ## Hello, administering these intravenously is very dangerous so please take them from her and tell her she is messing with her life, i am only 24 and have never used a needle but have had drug problems all my life since i...

Please help me find a subutex Dr. That accepts tenncare medicare for office payment. ## im lookinmg for a subutex dr in nashville who doesnt have to have insurance ## In Nashville, look up Dr. Arnett. He has many Suboxone/subtex clinics in the area. Call one of the hospitals, like Vandy or St. Thomas; they can usually point you in the right direction. Also, there's a buprenorphine patch available. (Same drug that's in Subutex). If you had problems with Suboxone, it could be the narcan mixed in with it to keep it from being abused. ## Dr. Cruz and Turning Point Recovery prescribes Subutex. Does meijer pharmacy carry 54-411 subutex or M 9-24? Walmart was out of 54-411 and I cant take the M 9-24 version. The pharmacy wouldn't tell me. ## Yes you can, you just don't want to. This is a perfect example of why there are so many rules and laws and restrictions because people abuse, break the rules, and don't do what they're supposed to. It doesn't matter what a Subutex looks like. Period. They all do the same thing unless you are administering your medication intravenously, in which case eventually you will get caught and you will lose your doctor. Most abusers want the 54s. It's just like when I see people say they're allergic to orange ones and small ones, LMFAO. They're literally the same thing, same mlg, same ingredient, just look different. I...

Why was I ok after days 1 thru 8, but by day 9 and 10 my legs hurt, I cant sleep and I'm having weird thoughts? ## All medications carry the risk of causing side effects and, in most cases, it can take awhile for all of them to start affecting you and it could take 4 to 5 weeks to go away, once your body gets used to the medication. Other side effects, as reported by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and constipation. If they become severe, or don't go away, you should consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi. I've been on 8mg of subutex daily for about 2-3 weeks. I've started feeling more drowsy the longer I've been on it. I had an opioid addiction prior to having been prescribed buprenorphine. What should I do? I ...

Yes, they are Subutex 153 half moon and the are shaped like a surf board. They work way better then Suboxone strips. People keep saying they cut the strips into millions of pieces, if that is the case you don't need them in the first place. This new one orange Subutex 153 half moon surf board shape ones last way longer, and work great (oh my god they work so great!) I recommend them to anyone using the white ones or the strips, they both suck compared to the new ones. Take it of leave it but it's the truth. If you take just a half it will last you two days...unreal. ## For these subutex do they taste disgusting like the strips. As of May 1st our physician decided not to do subutex anymore. Luckily I just had my baby I am worried about breastfeeding. An hate the taste of Suboxone...

This is generic subutex, not suboxone, which means that it contains only buprenorphine. Suboxone has naloxone as well to discourage patients from abusing the pill. The exclusive patent rights for the drug expired in Oct. of '09. ## Thank you for providing this information, that's what many places are identifying it as, 8mgs of Buprenorphine, the generic for Subutex, but it is new and not listed in any of the databases, yet. Along with treating narcotic addiction, it can also be used to treat cases of severe, chronic pain. ## I love this drug. I'm off oxy now for 10 months and I have subs to thank for it ! I miss the euphoric feeling but I also don't miss spending 350 a day. God bless subutex ! ## I was a heroin addict for two years. Smoking 1 to 2 grams a day. I tried to...

You don't have to be in withdrawal to take subutex. Been on it for 6 years. I always read this garbage from people that don't have a damn clue, passing on info they are just regurgitating. ## Hello, tmoney! How are you? That is correct and thank you for posting. Sometimes, people may feel minor withdrawal symptoms, because Buprenorphine tends to be stronger in gripping onto the opiate receptors, so it kicks out other stuff someone may have taken. But, if doesn't cause the dangerous precipitated withdrawals, in most cases, that people can experience if they take Suboxone too soon, due to the Naloxone that's in it. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may c...

Do they make an orange Subutex? Is that available? ## I just got my script filled this month for subutex. I used to get the white tablet with an arrow and 8 on each side. Today I got 8mg Orange oblonged shaped with 153 and a moon on it. They are pretty big compared to what I was getting. Same thing except they just don't dissolve as quickly and have a different taste. So apparently they do make orange ones, just found out today. ## Just for added confirmation - yes, it is true that they do make an orange oblong/oval generic 8mg Subutex (Buprenorphine hydrochloride) sublingual tablet with 153 on one side and the Actavis' half moon logo on the other. This tablet also contains the following set of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers), which may be different than what you might...

I need to know the name of the doctor in Johnson City Tennessee who prescribes Subutex and benzo's at the same time I am interested in maintenance. ## Most Drs won't prescribe the two together. Because they both are downers. A lot of people dont know that. They lower your respiration. Finding a dr that will prescribe the two will be difficult. You can always seek a primary care or Ive heard some place called Graceland that would write the benzos and just find another doctor for addiction purposes solely. ## Restoration and wellness is located on Susanna Drive in Johnson City the doctor's name is dr. I’ve been taking 8mg subutex (54s) for about a year. Today I took half a pill didn’t think much of it as it felt the same but then noticed they were RP b8. Does anyone have any info on the difference? Since I’ve noticed I’m all worried if they are weaker, stronger, the same? If anyone has any answers I’d greatly appreciate it! Thanks ## Hello Miss, According to the NIH both pills are buprenorphine 8mg tablets so it should be the same strength. The reason the imprint is different is the pills are from different generics/brands. There are multiple different generics that have both imprints and if you would like me to give you more information on the differences between the two I would need to know the generic/brand of each. From there I can give you a more in...
