Subutex 153 Half Moon Orange Pills (Page 2)

Updated

I want to start taking subutex 153 orange half moon shape pill in morning when I wake up. I took my last dose of opiates around 8 pm. Will I go into withdrawal? I am very scared that I will. I have done it before with suboxone and thought I was dying and it's something I never want to experience ever again.

You have to be very careful mixing suboxone or subutex with xanax or any other benzo. It can be a fatal combination. Make sure all of your doctors know all of the meds you are on. I know where I live they will immediately cut you off sub (either one) if they find out you have taken a benzo. Im not saying your doctors dont know... just wanted to throw it out there for everyones information.

I read this same thing every week, if your so worried just get on methadone because it sounds like you are going to be on something anyway. I know most go with suboxen because you can get a 30 day supply methadone has the same thing. Your best bet is to just detox one time and leave opiates alone...

OMG! Thank you Mike for saying this. I've tried to tell others that when taking SUBUTEX, you won't have the withdrawal. Everyone thinks I'm wrong. I've been taking SUBUTEX for a few years now, I know what I'm talking about. Thank you!

You WILL go into precipitated withdrawal if you take SUBOXONE OR SUBUTEX too soon after opiates. You don't go through precipitated withdrawal because of the naloxone. The naloxone really is such a small dose it doesn't really do anything. The reason you go through precipitated withdrawal is because the bupe (main ingredient in both suboxone and subutex) has such strong binders to your opiate receptors that it will knock off whatever opiate is in your receptors, then binds itself to the same receptors.

I have personally had severe precipitated withdrawals from Subutex, plain buprenorphine. It's the bupe that throws you into precipitated withdrawals. The bupe knocks the remaining opiates off your receptors and causes the pws. You still have to wait!! I Know this from personal experience. People saying you do not have to wait have no idea!!

It's NOT suboxone, that crap is awful. l waited 20 hours before taking only a small piece and threw up for days. I too thought i was going to have to call an ambulance.

Wait until your going into withdrawal from opiates and you'll be ok. If you don't, there may be sever consequences as you already know.. stay safe.

You CAN take subutex right behind a morphine or oxy... I do it alllll the time. No harm done. Just no suboxone.

Hi. I have been taking 8 mg Subutex by Mylan. I too have an allergic reaction to Suboxone...(Naloxone). It makes me feel very sick to my stomach and over a one month course, I become so miserable it makes me feel suicidal. I was put on straight (0 Naloxone) SUBUTEX 8MG. Changed my life..became happy again, could tolerate the pain in my back and live life. This weekend when I picked up my refill I got orange 1/2 moon shaped Subutex. 2 days have gone by and again I feel like I’m on Subutex. MY QUESTION: Are the half moon orange tabs Naloxone-FREE?

Avoiding precipitated withdrawal - guidelines for each substance: naabt.org/faq_answers

I wish I could delete these posts that give bad advice to people in this situation... It's like they don't even read the whole post and then tell YOU whether or not YOU will withdrawal.... And they don't even know what you're taking or for how long... as if they have a degree in physiology or chemistry and how these medications actually act on the receptors of someone taking a medication at your dosage.

The answer is that it DEPENDS. Just because this Mary figure does not think buprenorphine will bind to your receptors fast enough to cause your body shock on the amount of opiates you were on, does not mean she is RIGHT by any means. That is just her personal experience with low dose opiates such as "percs".... But I have personally taken subutex (buprenorphine) and gone into very bad withdrawals. I have also been given Narcan by paramedics during an overdose, which is naloxone (the additional medication in Suboxone) and not had ANY withdrawals at all.

Actual detox facilities will not administer any buprenorphine (subutex) until 24 hrs after the last opiate, for most long acting opiates, or even longer for methadone which has a longer half life than even most long acting opiates. (They usually do not administer suboxone at a detox, as it is being supervised so there is no need, and generic is cheaper for them). It is not naloxone that causes precipitated withdrawals. That is a common myth, that apparently is still around even in 2017, I'm guessing due to misinformation.

-Talk to a doctor (that is licensed to know all the up-to-date info on detoxing and these meds).
-Or call a detox, and ask them if you do not have time or resources to get into one.

Re: Mary (# 19) Expand Referenced Message

Right on, as with every other helpful drug that happens to be controlled the people that must go overboard make it a situation where everyone who inquires about it is viewed as a drug-seeking abuser regardless of genuine intentions. One Hallmark of addicts is definitely that when one feels fine it's not appreciated; only when people are deathly ill in withdrawal they appreciate just feeling normal and not have to be higher than telephone wires in their mind... just agreeing with you.

Re: daydreamer (# 3) Expand Referenced Message

It's because of the naloxone in soboxone that causes withdrawal effects. Subutex does not contain naloxone so it doesn't cause withdrawal symptoms. I've been on soboxone for years and then ran out and all I could find was Subutex. It definitely is stronger. There's no "tabletop" effect that you reach with soboxone. That being said, be careful not to take too much or take a narcotic thinking the naloxone will help keep you from dying because it won't. Stay safe and I hope this helps.

Re: Mary (# 10) Expand Referenced Message

Totally wrong. Wait wait wait or be sorry, so sorry.
Has nothing to do with lack of naloxone.
It's affinity to receptor kicks what's there to the curb, so wait or get pw's
At least a day until you're sick as dog.

All these ppl on here are lying for some reason, maybe to make someone feel bad or sick to fulfill their sick need for someone to be sick or feel bad. Naloxone is what makes you deathly ill and will throw you into withdrawl. Since there's no naloxone in subutex it is safe to take after a dose of opiates have worn off. Naloxone is terrible stuff, the only thing it is good for is stopping an o.d. as prolonged use can damage your liver because it shouldn't be used for any length of time. I take buprenorphine or subutex, I took suboxone with naloxone and was sick for 2 months before being switched over to subutex because I ended up telling my doc that the good outwayed the bad vecause addiction treatment is supposed to help you and in my case it wasn't. Just don't abuse subutex or they will be forced to switch you to suboxone and that stuff isn't good for anyone.

Re: Lisa (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

No way!!! Lisa listen... You shouldn’t be in real withdrawal after stopping Subutex? You can take Benzos just to maintain. Although, never ever take opiates just before repeating Subutex!!! You will be in hell with intense withdrawal that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy! I hope this helped. Feel free to write back...

Been there done that wasn't sick, quit lying.
Why would you lie? Is it something you have to do to complete your day? Just stop.
