Suboxone And Urine Test (Page 4)

I know Suboxone does not show up in a standard test. But the job I am applying for may do an extended test. I have a prescription from my Doc and I am on 16mg a day which by the way is wonderful. But I was wondering if anyone knows how long till my urine's clean?

I took a sixteenth of a 8mg suboxen yesterday. I hadn't did any suboxen 48 hours before that. I take a 14 panel urine tonight. Will it show? What should I do to assure that it will be passed?

I just started on the Suboxone program. Man, it saved my life. Long story short, I've been clean for 6 months. Flew down to Encino, California to a detox center, came back home, and now I'm on subs. Wish I got on them the first go around, anyway. So I'm totally clean. My doctor gives me a urine test every three weeks. And he's said I've failed every time. The thing is I don't get to see them. So they take the U/A to the back, then the doctor comes in about 5-10 min later with the results. This go around said I had methamphetamine, mdma, heroin, cocaine, oxy, benzos, opiates, s*** mostly everything under the sun. And every test I've taken has had methamphetamine in it. I don't understand. I haven't done nothing for 110 days. The only substance I've taken is the Suboxone. So this time he only gave me 20 strips and said I want you back for another urine test in 12 days. The thing that gets me is they don't let me watch the test, they do it in a separate room. Wondering if these doctors are crooks and do some shady stuff like this to make extra money? There is a guy that's always in there getting his meds the same days as me and he said he's never passed a test at this doctor's office either, and he's been going there for 3 years. So my question is, has anybody ran into crooked doctors in this Suboxone program?

I cut a suboxone into ten pieces and took a piece a day for 5 days. 5 days later I had to take a urine test and I drank green tea to help flush my system. Am I going to fail this urine test? I love my doctor and I don't want to lose her.

If I take 1.5 to 2 mg Suboxone on Monday, will it show up on Tuesday morning? I need an opiate to show up so I can get my pain med (oxycodone).

I have been taking opioids for a year and a half. Right now it is 630am on Monday. I last used last night about midnight. Been chugging water like crazy. Also have a detox drink i purchased. And as soon as i start feeling sick I'm going to take a suboxone strip instead. I have been wanting to quit anyways with the subs. I have to take a drug test for a job within like the next 24 hours. Does anyone think i will pass this drug screen? Or should i just not bother? Thanks

Don't bother I had to test for pre employment and failied for bur.. I only took 2 pills and tested 6 days after my last dose ... they said it was faint but still showed up in a 12 panel test.

I took an 8mg suboxone at 4am today. I have a urine drug test at 9am today. Will it show up that soon after taking it?

Let's just make this easy, it takes Any medication 3 days to get out of your urine but it takes 15days for a blood test. As far as hair follicle tests. That could take up to 30days. Good Luck

From what I was told when I go in for my first visit to the Suboxone Dr I'm supposed to be clean. Does the Dr watch me pee in the urine cup?

No honey, that won't work. The reason is that urine tests don't test for the drug itself, they test for the metabolites that your body turns the drug into. Also, that was NOT a stupid question. You needed information that you didn't have and reached out to find someone who did. That's how we learn. There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers, such as the stupid answer that a**hole gave.

I hope no one uses this information to make any meaningful decisions. Not trying to be hateful but none of what you put in this reply is accurate. Different meds, even in the same class can all take different times to clear your urine. For example some opiates may be clear in three days while others can still show more than a week later. As far as blood tests, meds actually show longer in urine than in blood. For hair follicle tests, a 1 1/2 inch sample shows drug use for the last 90 days. Don’t believe me? A simple google search will show your “simple answer” to be completely inaccurate. Best of luck.

You're both right and wrong. It will test positive for buprenorphine, but not for the metabolite- what it breaks down as in your system. If you physically place it in a urine sample all it will show is that you suddenly started taking it the day before or day of testing. Some lower end clinics and programs, it won't matter- but others it will. It all depends on the quality of the test they use. The same goes for ANY opiate prescribed and being tested for in pain management type clinics. Some will only test for a positive result, others will use better quality tests that are designed to make sure you're using the medicine you're prescribed on a long term, daily basis instead of just right before your UA in order to prove you're taking it (like many do when they get their script just to sell it).

That's not correct. Different meds take different lengths of time. A hydro is around 3 days, a benzo is anywhere from 7 to 30 days depending on how many you took... And suboxone has a crazy half life, it can take quite a while depending on how much and how often you take it. You only excrete HALF the mg in your system approximately each day. If you took 24mg on Mon- It would be 12 mg Tues, 6mg Wed, 3mg Thurs, 1.5 mg Friday, .75 mg Saturday, about .37 Sunday... So Monday, 7 days later it would be gone.

Likewise, if you only took 8 mg Monday- then it would be 4 mg Tuesday, 2 mg Wednesday, 1 mg Thursday, .50 mg Friday, .25 mg Saturday and pretty much clear in Sunday. ONLY 1 day less in clearing your system. My wife and I both work with recovery environments.

At the same time, we all have different body sizes and different metabolisms. It may be longer for a 6'3 male weighing 260 lbs, and much shorter for a 5 ft 110 llb female that works out 3 or 4 times a week.

Chris, even though this was last year and won't help you now I'm sure- but it may help someone else so I'm going to reply. If you were showing raw suboxone in your UA (that means there was either part of a tablet or film in your sample- yes they can tell).. And you TRULY didn't place it there to make sure you tested positive, then there's a couple ways it could have happened. It sounds like you took your dose somewhere close to the time you took your test and have accidentally tainted your own sample. Bupe is very fragile- both tablets and films, it's meant to dissolve rapidly. That means it sticks to your fingers. Depending on which you're prescribed, varying amounts of residue can be left behind. Always make sure your hands are dry when you touch your film or tablet. Don't hold it very long. Wash your hands thoroughly after you take it and again before you provide a urine sample. But at the same time, if you're taking it like you're supposed to, then you have the metabolite in your UA sample as well. That's what it breaks down into when you take any med daily. It's like a marker in your system proving you take something more often than just occasionally or just to pass the test. Even if there were fragments in your UA, the metabolite should be there as well. Either they're using cheap tests, or they have unknowledgeable staff.

So I looked through these posts for the last few days having a freaking heart attack trying to decide if it had been long enough. Google seems to think it's out in less than a week and I gotta call BS on that for most people. Even a week later no way I'm giving urine to any agency or court authority. Lol. But seriously internet, you suck when it comes to answering this question. No one gives details, no one gives updates.. for goodness sake. So here has been my experience. I took Suboxone regularly at least 8mg a day for 18 months. I am about 130 lbs, female, 33. I stopped taking it Jan 7, 2017 took a test at the hospital, failed. Took the next test Jan 19, 2017 and it came back negative. I know they test me for Bup, however the second test was a dipstick so it could have had a higher threshold than the hospital.
Since then I have been tested weekly, totally clean, no cheating. Fast forward to April 2018. I took what was supposed to be my last drug test and like the ***** I am did 4 8mg subutex from April 11-14. The next Monday comes and apparently there was a mix up with my paperwork and guess who gets to drop another month. This girl. I have been tripping. I got called in to drop 4/23, decided I wasn't risking it, put it off until the 24th, and took vitamins and drank lots of water. I took my test, and somehow I passed.

Hello.

I have the strangest question for someone that would be so kind to answer this. I have never taken Suboxone in my life. My son, he does take Suboxone strips. I pick up his wrappers all the time. I picked them up as I'm yelling at him because if his daughter would get ahold of those it could possibly kill her or make her extremely sick. That is why I'm always picking them up. He doesn't leave them laying around any longer after my bizarre urine test. I've actually found a few little tiny strips laying around on the table so I picked those up as well. What I'm asking is if there's any way that could have gotten into my system by handling several foils and a few tiny strips that was laying around? Because I had taken a urine test and I came up with a very low low number of the drug from the Suboxone. My pain doctor said it was actually barely there so could this have happened by me handling the strips and a lot of foils? Because I promise you I have never ever consumed that medication. Thank you so much. I'm just baffled. My pain doctor said she was going to give me a warning. Then she said she was taking back the warning because she so believed me. But at the end of the day I just feel she's thinking in the back of her mind differently. Sorry for the book I just need a little help to figure this out. I did speak with my pharmacist and he told me that it was so possible for that to happen to me so I'm just trying to clear my name that's all. Or my urine. LOL.
