My 72yr old wife suffered cerebral stroke 3mnth back. Prior to that she felt occasional palpitations and headache in the back side. It was reported that these were symptoms of stroke. Since last few days I am feeling mild sensation of pain in back of my head. I had a stent implanted six months back. Should I consult a/the cardiologist again? ## Yes, any time you have new head pain, or chest pain, you should have it checked out to be safe. Such symptoms could be very dangerous, other than a stroke, it could also be a symptom of a heart attack, or other health issues, according to NIH reports. Are you on any medications? How is your wife doing?

My dad is 80yrs old. He has a history of eschaemic stroke 12 yrs ago. Recently 3 months ago he went through pacemaker implantation. From last two days his BP is low below 100/65. We have stopped all BP medicines. Can we give him ecosprinAV 75/20? ## Has his doctor stated that he should be taking this medication? The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and joint/muscle aches. What are his current BP readings? Is he on any other medications?

I've accidentally taken it twice within 2 hours. I took one via a nose tube as I can't swallow food due to a stroke. My problem here is that it stated "3 times a day" but my mucus is too thick unless I take it 4 times daily. Is that ok? I'm a worried mom.

Just figured out that multac is the drug causing hives and throat tightness. I had a heat stroke with amarideron. Taking for SVT with metropol and losartin. I have heard there are less aggressive drugs. I am going to mexico and don't want to stay inside. ## Hello, Tiger! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you've had. However, almost all prescription medications can cause that. Even your Metoprolol and Losartan can cause it. The best thing to do is be careful to drink lots of water and use a good, high level sun block to prevent the issues, as much as possible. Has your doctor made any other suggestions? ## I'm taking Metoprolol 50 mg twice a day. It's been very good for me Except since I've been taking it I have gotten a rash on my legs-chest-arms is t...

citicoline generic name citicoline brand name citicoline indication ## First off, Citicoline is the active ingredient, so therefore it is the generic name. In the U.S. it is an over the counter supplement, used in some energy drinks, as an alertness aid. I do, however, understand, that in some other countries it is used as a medication. I do not know what country you are in, so I have no way of discovering what it may be prescribed for or what name brand it is sold under. On the 07/03/2015, my mother of 81 years old has been prescribed Urbanol, simultaneously whilst she's taking Cilift. Over this week end she started with symptoms of feeling extremely tired, energy less and totally drained; almost like she either suffered a stroke or TIA. She has also, due to her legs suddenly becoming weak and lame, fallen twice. She says it feels like her legs become lame and her legs just can't support her body. She too experienced this throughout her entire body. She has been on Cilift for approx 5 years, however her GP prescribed Urbanol because she felt anxious and panicky. Today her GP said to stop with the Urbanol. Could Urbanol cause these side effects? ## Hello, Louis! How is your mom doing? Yes, it has been known to cause such side effects, as reported...

My step mother started taking ibilex for an infection, 2 days later one side of her face became numb and slack, it looked liked she'd had a stroke. We took her to the hospital and they took her off ibilex and gave her steroids instead. She still has slight numbness and slackness to half her face a week later... do you know if this will go away in time? She's quite self conscious of it and convinced it's permanent. :( ## Hello, Karen! How are you? Did they provide her with any specific diagnosis? It sounds like she may have developed Bell's Palsy, if that is the case, the NIH states that most cases clear up within 1 to 2 months, odds are improved if a steroid is given within the first 3 days of it occurring. Though most people do recover without needing any treatment, at ...

Why is my Father having nighttime repetitive behaviors associated with anxiety following basal ganglia stroke? ## Hello, Jackie! How are you? The basal ganglia control movement, so if there has been some damage done due to a stroke, such issues can occur. Such a stroke could even result in long-term problems with movement, vision, swallowing, and sense of touch, according to the NIH. What medications is he taking? Some of them could also contribute, according to the FDA. How long ago did he have the stroke?

I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT mechanism action of citicoline ## Citicoline (INN), also known as cytidine diphosphate-choline (CDP-Choline) and cytidine 5'-diphosphocholine is a psychostimulant/nootropic. Studies suggest that CDP-choline supplements increase dopamine receptor densities, and suggest that CDP-choline supplementation can ameliorate memory impairment caused by environmental conditions. Preliminary research at Harvard found that citicoline supplements help improve focus and mental energy and may possibly be useful in the treatment of attention deficit disorder. It is an ingredient in some energy drinks such as 5-Hour Energy and is available as an over the counter nutritional supplement. To learn more click on the link below... I was not sure whether the drug sp triggered the seizure. Please help ## Hello, Sorry to hear about your husband's condition. Based on my research, the severe or irreversible adverse effects of spasmo proxyvon (dextropropoxyphene), which give rise to further complications, can include seizures, among a long list of many other horrible symptoms.
