Still Feeling Pregnant After Abortion

Hi! uhmmm, i had a clinical abortion on Jan 20, 2012. I'm having a normal light bleeding on and off, they said its ok until 14 days but now it's been 3 weeks i still have on and off bleeding i also take a pills after my abortion. They also told me to call if after one week i'm still feeling pregnant but after one week i don't feel i'm still pregnant but now its 3 week i feel like my stomach is still big. Is it possible that i'm still pregnant and is it normal that i'm still having a light bleeding? pls answer me asap...

Have you called the clinic, yet?

You really should, at this point they do need to check and see if it is possible that the abortion failed, or if perhaps an infection has set in.

i call the number they give me but i cant get trough so i decide to go in the clinic and i have an appointment check up this coming Friday...........if there is a infection what kind is that and what kind of exam are they going to do??????

Hi, I hope you are ok with my following post; Termination & the side affects can be quite complex and damaging ;or even hard to pin point; it is hard as even though we choose this procedure..the mind ,heart and soul.. is affected by this. We may not even allow ourselves a right to grieve the loss of this baby; for many intricate reasons. The mind can really play tricks after an abortion..& yes I think our body may even tell us we're pregnant for a couple of months or more after the procedure..Can I make a suggestion!?.. Try to see a therapist & or attend group therapy a.s.a.p.

Im a 21 year old mother of three. I had gotten pregnant again after my last child was born and i chose to abort becuz of my living situation n da father wasnt goin to b in my kids life. Dat was bout 1 year nd a half ago. Now i have a fiance we both work he helps me with my chidren we have a stable secure home nd we want a child together but i cant seem to get pregnant. My periods are irregular i have bad menstrual pains and sometimes i feel like im pregnant and then my period comes. I had a abortion 7/17/2014. before I took my last set of pills, I read posts that scared the s*** out of me. I told my sister who had already gone through a medical abortion and she told me not to worry. ladies whatever you do, don't be alone. it was like a murder scene,my husband wanted to call the paramedic but I would not let him. bad decision! couldn't stand, fainted, woke up with a busted lip. still light headed as of now. I have five children and nothing compared to having this abortion. make sure, that you know you're sure? please don't be alone just for your safety please? God bless

I've had the misfortune of having gone through an abortion. Afterwards, if I remember correctly, I was bleeding and began to slowly feel normal. Now I feel as though im pregnant all over again, but it hasn't even been over a week. I had unprotected sex (cannot explain why I wasn't more responsible). Is it just my body still carrying the hormone? Has anyone else felt like their symptoms fluctuate? Of course there lies the chance that I got pregnant while bleeding days after my abortion...but I'm assuming (hoping) it's unlikely.

I am having the same problem. I even got some antibiotics after seeing this, the smelly blood or discharge is gone but I vomited two times now. I just still feel pregnant, trying to find answers... Did u find out anything???

I had an abortion April 27,2018. Bled for 5 days on and off. Felt fine. Now it’s been 3 weeks, today’s may 16th, and I’m feeling bloated, bad headaches and my stomach is hard again. I was 13 weeks when I had the medical abortion. After abortion was complete doctor said it was successful.Is there a possibility I’m still pregnant? Also I start my birth control 5 days after abortion. Maybe it’s my birth control making me feel this way? Help please

It is possible to become pregnant when having intercourse that early after an abortion. In fact, the chance of becoming pregnant right after an abortion is extremely high. that is why they tell you to wait to have sex (for bacterial reasons also) and they offer birth control or tell you to use protection

It's the same for me but I got my abortion 4 days ago. I'm super bloated, and every time I eat I feel sick. I get really bad cramps. Did you ever go in for a check up? The doctors at the clinic I went to told me to come back in 3 weeks to make sure everything is fine.
