I have been taking this drug 25mg X2 daily for over 5 years. Latest refill has more than usual mint smell and causes stomach gas and belching (wreaking and tasting of mint) along with heartburn ten minutes after ingesting. After this reaction upon taking this drug on this recent refill, I reverted to taking 2 days worth of previous refill (filled one month ago). No stomach upset or reaction. After this 2-day reprieve, I began taking once again the new refill. Again stomach belching, upset and gassy heartburn returned. Upon query by me to my pharmacist, I was told there was no apparent difference in either the supplier (drug company) or appearance, therefore, he then dispensed spirotonlactone through a different drug company. ## I just got a refill of novo-spiroton too. Apparently one bi...

I started on spironolact 25mg tab mylan 6 months ago now I have a breast lump. can it be related? round white pill with M then a 145 etched in the pill. The M is above the 145. The pill is about as big as the end of a womens pinky ## Spironolactone 25 mg actually has the imprint M over 146. I am guessing that you might have meant that, as the number on the pill might be easy to confuse. If you want to verify with a picture from the manufacturer, see: Gynecomastia (breast tissue development in men) has been reported as a possible side effect of Spironolactone. I would suggest that you report this to your prescribing physician as well. If you want to read more about this drug, please see: Do you have any more questions or information to add? White Tablet MP 85 ## SPIRONOLACTONE (Aldactone®) is a diuretic. Diuretics increase the amount of urine passed, which causes the body to lose water and salt. Spironolactone helps to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It is not a cure. It also reduces the swelling and water retention caused by various medical conditions, such as heart, liver, or kidney disease. Spironolactone is a potassium-sparing diuretic. It does not make your body lose potassium, it can help patients who have a low blood potassium. Generic spironolactone tablets are available. ## I apologize, I posted the wrong info, here is the correct info.... SULFAMETHOXAZOLE; TRIMETHOPRIM or SMX-TMP (Septra®, Co-Trimoxazole, and others) is a combination of two antibiotics. The injection is used to treat severe in...
