Is it okay to split a 100 mg tab of Spironolactone? ## Hello, Goje! How are you? Yes, it is not a time released medication, so you can do so, as long as your doctor approves. We found out that even the lowest dose can be too much for me, so I have to cut them all. The FDA classifies this medication as a being a potassium sparing diuretic. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, heartburn, stomach pain, increased urination and dehydration. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Where can I fill a prescription for Spironolactone 25 mg that is scored so that I can cut it in half since my doctor wants me to take 12.5 mg?

Many men still take spironolactone aka Aldactone without a clue that it can virtually undue your sexuality. Spironolactone will slow or stop beard, arm, leg, chest and leg hair growth. It can cause your genitals to shrink. It can make your personality meek and obliging. it can rob you of initiative and male drive, sexual and non-sexual. It can steal away your ability to become sexually stimulated, robbing you entirely of your male sex drive. It can cause gynecomastia, a condition in which males develop female-like breasts. This is not nonsense. All of the above happened to me. I had finally been discharged from the hospital after a heart attack and severe complications which put me in the ICU for 18 days with heart failure, kidney failure, emergency quintuple coronary bypass surgery, ca...

What is the shelf life of Spironolactone 50mg? I have two unopened bottles dated 12/10/10. I was taken off in 2010, and put back on it recently. I would like to use them but fear poisoning. Is it safe to digest? ## Hello Lmdjones! How are you? This medication doesn't get dangerous, once past it's expiration date, but it does start to lose effectiveness and may not work as well as it did, when new. If they are in the original factory sealed bottle, they are generally good for 3 to 4 years, but once in a pharmacy dispensing bottle, where they have been exposed to the elements that cause degradation, they expire one year from the date of dispensing. If they are that old, it would most likely be best to just dispose of them and pick up a new supply. This medication is a potassium sp...

How many do I take and how fast does it generally start working? ## You should take the dosing your doctor has prescribed, taking too many may cause you to experience very low blood pressure, heart rate, and increased urination, which could lead to dehydration and other health issues, according to FDA reports. Usually, it starts working to help remove fluid build up within a few hours of taking, though it may take a few weeks to reach its full level of efficacy in the body.
