Snorting Dilaudid (Page 2)

my freind has an addiction to oxycontin, and now she has dilaudid 4 mg, and she plans on taking it too, b/c one of her freinds said that its like oxycontin and that she would get the same effect. does anyone no if its safe to do so?

i have 4 8 mg ds...i take the orally....drug companys make pills for a reason....dont snort anything...eat them...and eat them the way they are prescribed..and to joe...u dont know s***...these ppl are genuine and are trying to give an honest answer, so ppl dont do anything stupid...or so they dont feel guilty...JOE GET HELP DUDE...UR ALMOST DEAD...if anyone here thinks they are abusing drugs then why doesnt someone just click the REPORT ABUSE tab thats right underneath every f***in message...to the question....if ur friend is that sick that shes jumping and substituting oxy for ds, then she needs help...ur not much of a friend if ur on a drug forum asking questions for her, about how to get high....get in and get help...be careful..EVERYONE!!

Thing is we all made the choice. It's nice to get advice here, but should one be handing out patronizing moral advice on a web site such as this. Advice on how to do it safely via the administration of choice is what people are screaming for here, so get off your high moral horse. No, telling a junkie he / her has got to take them orally and not abuse them will get through at all so you are wasting your time 'cause if you've been one yourself you will know that is the dummest thing to tell any serious junkie

Rose -- First off I truly do understand your sentiment. I am sure that something has happened to you personally or more likely someone you love which has caused such passion in your advice. It is not bad advice either so please let me be clear. I am only posting to make the following observation.
I am not sure if you intended on spelling everything wrong in your post. But if you are going to tell someone how ignorant they are then at least tern yer spel chek on!!

I am considering since I can't take the oxyop anymore I have been a chronic pain paient for 15 yr's that since the ops are no good for me, to go on the hydromorphone and the dilaudids for breakthrough. I just wanted to know is the opana the hydromorphone or what is it called? My Dr. prescribes good but the high numbers he won't go for. I would rather take the roxy ir's but the numbers to match what I had would be to high for him, that is his pet peeve. I have been on the oxymorphine before and it wasn't enough ms contin doesn't even work. the strait morphine in high does was good and worked but the dose of oxy 80 oc 3x day was worked best and I wasn't high on them looks like the morhine is the last thing available for me it made me a little loopy, and that I don't like I just want to function as good as possible and take care of evertyhing. I want to function it's not a get high for me, I think people who don't know anything about cronic pain and tlerance don't relealize that you really don't get high. you get as close to normal, like other people. pppeople really judge. I need the answer about the hydromorphone,and the er names. THANKS!

ive been taking dilaudids for almost 2 years now, 16mg a day! other than the occasional sinus or lung infection, the relief is amazing! i havent died yet, dont think im going to, never felt even close to dieing, just all around good! Be careful, you might end up like me, seriously addicted! and the withdrawals are among the most serious and most painful, people who start cant find the courage to quit because the withdrawals are unbearable! no joke. withdrawals can also take place within hours of not taking one and can last several weeks! not fun, trust me, im in a drug program now. im only 17. its the toughest thing ive ever delt with, and i have a kid.

ive been taking 3 8mgs a day and i havent died yet! so for all the people who think they know what there talking about dont! i havent had any problems but the odd lung or sinus infections. {edited for safety} unless youve done it dont say anything!

@Rose if youve actually tried the pills youd know that they make you very sick and most of the time you end up puking off of them, and taking them another way them is the only way that doesnt make you sick and the medications last twice as long, and you conserve pills {edited for safety}

ok, so I have been reading everyone's comments and I'm still a lil confused on what. I you understand everybody is different and has different tolerances. I have been taking opiates for about ten years now. I am about to turn 26. It had gotten to the point where I was taking 10-13 tab tens in one dose. I would take up to 30 tens a day if I had the available resources. Not to mention when I got hold of other meds. I had someone recently introduce me to taking the K4 dilaudids intravenously. At first I didn't understand what all the hype was about, but {edited for safety}. Oh and just a lil message to all the doctors who prescribe suboxen, if you screwy doctors were in it to really help people instead of out to rip people off who need real help, you would make it more affordable. After the initial visit and the prescription it can be up to 500 dollars to get help. They say 'save your money'. Yea that's real easy to say when you aren't the one with the addiction. So back to the original topic.

Guys i have taken them, and im 15 i had a bad accdedent and was almost paralized. What you should do is talk to your doctor about medical marijuana if your over 18. I was on morfine for a month and when i got to go home i took cannabis and i had no pain. dont get addicted, get weed.

i dont think its a good that you people do this. i have been growing up in a place were people do this and seen my family on it. it hurts so much knowing my mommy and dad do this . the way the look is gross and she chose drugs over us. its better to do less harmful things to yourself because it helps you and others.

When i first started eating them years ago for pain i didn't feel anything off them but once i abused them it then took over my life which then led to heroin. Lost my family and Ended up in rehab. became clean and never looked back. My advice is to just say NO {edited for safety}

I agree with Sweetpeace I too have health issues and Dilaudid made me sick taken orally but taking it the other way was faster and lasted longer. The chance for addiction is higher if you continue to do this as you body absourbs it different and the dts from D suck let me tell you that I know but for people who need it that is how I sometimes take it at least I can still eat and not just puke everything back up

I would like to thank everyone for their comments. I have been using all opiates for 3 years. I now take up to 8 10 mg methadone a day and honestly its better than heroin. I had questions about dilaudid BC that's all I could find. I am only 100 lbs. But u people don't understand size doesn't even matter its tolerance. I've taken one 8 mg so far feel nothing. All the haters need to stop. This is a page for people who Have an uncontrollable disease called addiction. And we will use until we r truly ready to stop. And sometimes we need people to chat with about how to use drugs safely. Merry Christmas

I hear all of this language and I do not understand it. What is bangging? I take Dialudid for bad back pain. I take 30mgs of Oxy as well. My body built up a tolarance to the oxys which I hate because it really helped me (and the feeling was priceless) so now I take dilaudid for breakthrough pain as well but I get no high feeling from them as I did with the oxy's. I am not going to snort pills for fear of dying and addiction. What would happen if I chewed them??

You all are feeling good about your drugs now but what are yur families feeling? Well let me tell you i am one of those daughters who watched her mom buried last October from morphine and dilludad overdose. Yah she was happy too high on her drugs but me and my brother suffered. My 63 year old mother died and me 42 now without a mom but in reality i have been without her for a long time. It was misserable I spent a long time sad and lonely. She not only died but on my little girls birthday. My dad blambs me for making her sad by staying away most of the time. I could not watch her anymore addicted to her prescription drugs nor did I want to have my children watch that. I blame her the most but it was also the doctors fault for giving her so much while knowing she ran out before the end of the month. Her doctor appoligized and so I forgive him I hope he learns from his mistakes. I also forgive my mom i know she had manic depressin and scitzaphenia but either way she refused to admit she had a problem. Well she is in a better place but she left us here to suffer. I suffer daily wishing she had been better so that I could have a healthy relationship with her. I miss my mom but I have for a long time before she died. If any of you users love your family esspecially your children you will get help. Or one your children will fall into your foot steps in which I tryed that path and now I've been cleen for 22 years because I became a mother, my kids were and are worth me being clean. Or two your kids will abandan you and it would be your own fault. God bless you all may you get help stop using excuses that I'm in pain and need it. Don't get me wrong pain pills are there to be used as Prescribed not snorting or over taking. Good luck to the families and do NOT help your family being a adict. If you ecnor, or enable them you are as much as giving them or killing them yourself. My family suffers but we have GOD and will get through this too.

Being on oxy's is like being snowed in and trying to get your car out while it's still snowing. No matter how much you dig, your still stuck and can't get out. Finding another pill is just like getting more snow. You just have to dig more, to get more stuck. For all of those who think pills are some fun and games, ny neighbor's sister in law just died from an oxy od. Yeah, it was REAL fun at the funeral. Stop trying to be cool. If you have legit pain, take your meds like your life depends on them. It does.

i have a heart condition... 9 mi's in last 10 years + 13 stents. i developed an allergy 2 morphine about 7 years ago.. hence my addiction 2 iv dilaudid began... i'll go 2 the er complaining of chest pains knowing they'll give me iv dilaudid... as long as i havent been there that often... i have 2 travel alot in order 2 do this... i live in so. cal.. bt im in south florida now... it amaze even me how sick i am with this s***. when a sharp doctor catches on & wont give me any more dilaudid.. i call him or her a butcher...sick

No matter what it is, when snorted any narcatic pill will give you the over all same feeling. Yes dilaudid is a lot like oxy's but very unsafe. I had a friend who thought snorting a lower dose dilaudid would help him to get off the pills unfortunatly he is no longer with us. Any sort of oxy, dilaudid, morphene etc. is dangerous and I wish all the suffering addicts the best of luck with cleaning up. If I can do it anyone can.

It is amazing how people can do this because I would be very scared. Dilaudid never did anything for my pain. I was just taking it because I ran out of oxy's. I did snort once and I was so scared that I never tried it again, besides they never did anything and it was 4 MG. Now the oxy is used to my blood so it is not helping like it used to.
