I had a similar thing happen to me. My sister took mine and switch it with my b-6 vitamins and also stole half out of my bottles. I had been out a whole weekend then yesterday I called my doctor and got in. I told the truth and he rewrote for the remainder of my time that was left. I had to report to police my insurance still would not pay to replace so I had to pay cash which was a huge amount but I was in danger of dieing and my life is more important then the almighty dollar. This was my first experience of them being stolen and I pray this happens again, but u need to tell yer asap or go to ER room b-4 u have serious and dangerous issues. It's very unsafe to go without yer meds that are used for pain or heart or even diabetes. Even more dangerous is that she switched them for somethin' looking like it and my doctor said thank God I notice cuz on that dose I could have had neurological problems down the road. I will keep u in my prayers. I've been on my kind of meds since a very young age and I was at risk of seizure, stroke he attack death eventually. Talk to yer doc asap. Good luck.

It really depends on the individual and how well they tolerate the drug, so there is no way to give you a satisfactory answer. I can tell you that I've been taking Dilaudid for over 5 years now. The doctor started me on an initial dose of 4mg which didn't do much to relieve my pain. I now take 12mg which helps with the pain but it's not a miracle drug. I'm still in pain, just less. Getting back to the individual results, I've never gotten high on the dilaudid, I know a lot of people do. It could be that I've built up a tolerance because I take a lot of meds; for diabetes, heart problems and pain so you may get different results.

I took one tab of dilaudid and was feeling NO pain anywhere! I take up to 50mg of Norco for nerve pain from transverse myelitis but recently needed something stronger. TM nerve pain is barbaric! Anyway, just one dilaudid killed the pain in my legs AND made me feel awesome mentally. Don't know why so many people say oral D's are crap. It's amazing to me!

I have spina bifida and degenerative disc disease I'm prescribed dilaudid 4 mg three times per day. When ingested orally I get very sick to my stomach to the point of staying in bed with a major headache. I started taking them by other means and they give me instant pain relief without the nausea. I still get a headache but I take ibuprofen and bam its gone. I've been on pain meds my entire life. Dilaudid is the best hands down. I would never inject. My quality of life has improved greatly since I've been on this medication. I do not abuse them, I just changed the way I take them. Trust me when you live with chronic pain you'll do whatever it takes to be pain free.

I have a friend I suspect is misusing her dilaudid 4 mg. She gets 180 a month and is out in a week and 1/2 to 2 weeks. I suspected her of stealing. My pain is no where near as strong but wasn't sure. I always carry a few with me in an Advil small bottle. It turned up missing. I knew she took it. 1st chance I got to check out her purse I found my Advil bottle empty of course but worries me the most is she had a spoon in her purse. I took back my Advil bottle hoping she would realize I knew she had stole and I found the spoon but no such luck. I thought about calling her doctor.

Same effect on brain ,endorphins are released basically by force , pretty much fools the brain sensors that sends messages from the brain to the body ,, when your in pain the brain reacts telling you that something is wrong. ,, let's say you break your arm
The brain say "yo this not good, please avoid this body part, it's out of order ,it needs to be repaired asap , you will get the message, it results in pain, it hurts , stops focus. Dilaudid will intercept this message and erase it and rewrite it to say " no worries, false alarm , everything is normal so relax"

Over 150k people are born a day in addition to the ones that cancel out the deaths. So if no one died from cancers od and whatever else is non natural, then we would be in even more trouble then we already are. You can choose what kind of life u want. Let everyone else just do what they want. Technically it needs to happen as sick as it sounds, we could just ask everyone to stop having babies? Yea f***in right. Everyone says our government is so corrupt. Well it needs to happen cause it's either they are corrupt or they go down with the ship. I don't blame them a bit. Look how disgraceful we are. We're like a bunch of cockroaches. Only worse.

i have been taking 8mg dilaudid/hydromorphone for the past 38 years, after a car accident which left me with a spinal cord injuryAlthough obviously after such a long peroid my tolerance is to where im taking a prescribed 10-12 8mg per day, untill this year when the goverment decided it was going into the health care biz and nearly destroyed me with the limits now in place. After such a long time i was tailspinning in severe pain,a kind of constant mild withdrawl, and muscle/weight loss due to the lack of excerise from pain.I have never had any severe reactions or any social problems etc from using this medication.it wasnt untill recently i even knew about the drug as it was just the medication i took for the constant severe pain i was in.I think its horrrible that a person taking a medication with reason, since they were a child to all of a sudden be tossed into a "catagory" because the goverment took awqay what they needed.i am 6t3 and was 150 thin yes but because of muscle atrophy and paralysis i am now at 124 pounds and basically useless and mentally overstressedto the point of wishing for death.after 4 years of spiraling down until there was simply nothing left to lose i finally found a PAIN AND ADDIXCTION SPECIALIST WHO IS HELPING ME.n the 2 weeks i have been recieving a closer to normal dosage of medications i have gained 5 pounds and have returned mentally to the man i was 4 years ago. do not judge any user for any reason,i just think its a safe drug when not abused in iv,and the govermenrt should stay out of healthcare, because they just lump us together as addicts, and problemas to society when nothing could be further from the truth.just my thoughts from someone who knows.

Methadone is a life sentence. Just quite 4 months ago. Cold Turkey at 94mgs. Was hell but worse is PAWS (post acute withdrawal syndrome) usually last 2 years but I have heard up to 7! Relapse or suicide are usually what happens. I used Kratom (southeast Asian tree) curbs withdrawal like 85-90% absolute best! Clinics in the UK ARE starting to use it. Works magic on mood and PAIN! Only thing you do is build a tolerance, but it's like 2-3 days of really mild body ache, sore stomach and irritable.... Pretty good trade off. I am working on opening a clinic in Ontario Canada. Although the government makes so much money off the suffering of it people it may have to be web based.

We're not in rehab, we're not seeking that advice. Just a better more efficient way to medicate.

4mg, insufflated makes you feel mellow, stress n pain relief. I never have and never will try H, but what experience I have had it takes some stress & pain away. I have an exceptionally high tolerance to pretty much anything but I it does help somewhat. But it can and usually does lead to addiction.
