Small Round Pink Pill K 56 (Page 7)

Updated

Is the k/56 pink pill the same as OxyContin? And do people abuse these after crushing them? If so, what are the effects and long term side effects?

Yes, I was on Actiq. Prescribed and actually told it wasn't addictive. I was given the highest strength for 3 months and hooked. I was up to taking 8 lozenges a day at $800 a box! Can you believe that? I had to go to a pain clinic to get off of them. Additionally it rotted my back teeth too. You know they made a sugar free one but never marketed it because its initial use was for stage 3 cancer patients who weren't supposed to live long enough to develop tooth decay.

Congrats for getting off of them, I know personally how hard that is!

Do not even consider Methadone! I beg of u! Saboxone saved my life. Methadone is a literal death sentence.

All I can say is OMG! Girl, you are going to kill yourself before you get relief! If you don't kill yourself with the amount of tablet you are taking, you undoubtedly will die from withdrawal. I know most people will not die from opiate withdrawal but you just might. I can understand why you are so frustrated with going through withdrawal and I am guessing your doctor has no clue what you are doing because if he did, he would give you an injectable form or a liquid form of Methadone. If you are a recovering heroin user I would suggest, at this point, you try Suboxone, it is sublingual. But you can't keep doing what you are doing... Don't you get uncontrollable sweats and s***? I really feel for you, you may have the worst issue I've come across. Good luck to you. Please write so I know you are okay. Maybe we can bat around some ideas.

Dr Julius R Hoffenmier,
You come across as highly uneducated, very insecure, and it seems that you enjoy putting people down to feel better about yourself.
How dare you call yourself a doctor. ...mixing in a few truths with your manipulative post. Good luck with your self esteem.

AMEN! to you Betterdays39! I totally agree! Don't judge, that is God's job and you have to walk in someone's shoes like, Betterdays39, and know what CHRONIC PAIN FEELS LIKE!!! I've been there 3 years ago for 3 years! I have had 3 major surgeries, blocks (NO HELP) in past 2 1/2 years! Guess what? The pains are coming back in other areas now, I'm over 50; Do I want to go under the knife just yet, will doctors let me go under the knife just yet due to other unforseen health issues due to STRESS!!! As, Betterdays39, I would LOVE to have SOME WHAT of QUALITY of LIFE, just to get up in AM, take showers, brush my teeth, help clean my mother's home, which I live, do my own laundry and actually completing a task or chore with MINIMUM to NO PAIN AT ALL!!!! What ever Obama did or the FDA did messed a LOT of people up with chronic pain and/or insurance or not!!! Let those who are not out to abuse but need the relief just to enjoy life a little longer; get what they need! And I'm not talking about the quacks out there, they should go down! But let doctors that know what pain and surgeries a patient has been through prescribe whatever it takes to make that patient comfortable! It sucks lying in bed all day, knowing just getting up to shower and brush your teeth is a struggle for some of us! Yes, some is depression(taking an anti depressant), but pain also causes the depression! I wasn't on as much as Betterdays39, maybe I wished I was. I was on 3 - 30mg Oxcycodone a day for 2 1/2 years & that did not touch my bone on bone in my right hip!! I had to wait for Medicare to kick in before I could afford the total right hip replacement! Thought I was in the clear; severe car accident 1/2 year after that surgery. Had to have neck surgery to put a titanium plate & 6 screws to hold the significantly herniated disc in my neck. 1 year after right hip, same year neck surgery, I had to have a total left hip replacement! 8 months later left carpal tunnel surgery. My hands still draw up and hurt, I have Degenerate Joint Disease & recently looking thru my medical files, I found I was diagnosed with Degenerate Discovery Disease!!! Of course, the Osteoarthritis & probably the Rheumatoid Arthritis! Arthritis Media do NOTHING! I take a lot of Tylenol because that is all I can take w/arthritis meds. And some days I double up on the Goody powders! Last a short while of the day, then back down a day or 2 or 3! I'm shocked, I haven't been told I have ulcers in my stomach or intestines! Enough venting! I greatly appreciate y'all letting me get this off my chest. Especially to those who are dealing with the same thing or maybe worse. God Bless!

The fillers are filtered out by your digestive system and passed through the bowel. If you put them into your lungs or directly into the bloodstream they get caught throughout the system and cause issues. How do you not understand this? Think about it like E Coli. It's found all throughout your digestive tract but if you get it anywhere inside the rest of your body you're gonna be sick or possibly dead. Wow I still can't believe you just posted that.

There's a BIG difference between taking something orally v.s. other routes of administration! If you EAT it, and your body can't use (digest) it, like fillers in pills, (which are used in a lot of cases just to make the pill big enough to be practically useful), it just passes through your system and is excreted. If that same stuff is insufflated or administered intravenously, there's no way out for it to go. You might be lucky and sneeze some of it out, but not all. The rest, well, simply put just gums up the works. With intravenous administration, the best outcome you can hope for is a clot somewhere not in your brain or lung or heart. Think about it; people EAT things all the time that they can't digest - coins, clay, paper, etc, etc, etc. It goes through on out. Get the picture?

Way stronger, don't be fooled. A 5 mg percocet is child's play to a 30 mg.

Thank you for that most of these people don't even know what real pain is until they've been there only your doctor can help you I had triple bypass and a bus today order Vein from my heart and I'm on 15 milligram oxycodone and really it barely helps but I don't want to take too much for the recent eventually hopefully one day I don't have to take it but only your doctor can decide what you should take and how much pain you can withstand because you're always going to be in pain no matter how much pain medicine you take I don't think people understand that that's why they have one to ten pain chart when you go to the doctor even when you're on medication they ask you what's your pain level on the medication you're on and that's how they decide how much to give you only people understand is people that's been severely hurt shot cut or have a very painful disease hopefully I pray that they don't have to go through that but thank you for your comment fatt

For the people saying 6 30's of oxycodone a day is "too much," explain to me why fentanyl exists and is prescribed daily. I'll wait.

Re: keifer2369 (# 11) Expand Referenced Message

Never never unless on your death bed, use methadone because the excruciating year long detox/withdrawal is soooo not worth it. Believe me! And had I never joined that methadone clinic, I swear on everything I love, I would've never od'd which affected my health worse than it already is, smh. Please try a natural route that works just like an opiate and is great for withdrawal, it's called kratom... You and your body would be much happier and healthier...And if natural is not good enough, try suboxone, but I swear you do "not" wanna put yourself thru the torture of methadone!
