My 7 yr old daughter is comaining I really bad stomach pains and has occasional gas and belches. Can I give her adult Gas X that is 125 mg of Simethicome? ## What did you end up doing? 125mgs is high for a child of only 7, the usual dosage for them is only 40mgs. The usual dose for children is 40mgs given 4 times a day, so it would be best to pick up the pediatric version, to avoid overdose, and make sure that's it okay with her pediatrician. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly include dizziness and headache. What type of foods does she eat? According to the NIH, they may be what's causing the problem. It could also occur if she drinks a lot of soda. Gulping her food, or beverages can also cause someone to swallow a lot of air, which could cause this, so she may need to eat and drink slower.

Is there any interaction between papaya papain with simethicone? ## Hello, Belle! How are you? I'm sorry, but supplements are not evaluated for possible interactions with medications. Have you tried checking with your pharmacist? They may know more. But since Papaya is really just fruit, I'd think there shouldn't be any problem. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## Simethicone directions say limit to 2-4 per 24 hours which is dependent on strength per dosage. Why have this limit if it is totally safe?

Pills marked with PZ (followed by a set of numbers) are commonly identified as Simethicone in varying dosages. Simethicone is used to alleviate bloating, gas, & stomach discomfort. Judging from the drugs indications, I don't think anyone would have a reason to go overboard on taking too much. I mean, once the gas and bloating subsides, there is really no reason to take more than you need. My left side hurts when I take Hydrosil, why? ## I am not quite sure what you mean. Hydrosil is an antacid and antigas medication. It contains Aluminum, Magnesium and Simethicone. The closest match I found is a product called "Sab Simplex" (Simethicone); which is used as an anti-foaming agent to reduce bloating or discomfort caused by excess gas in the stomach & bowels. a-007 ## I'm not 100% sure what was being asked here, so I think I'll just cover both of the options that I found… Disflatyl is a medication that's used to help treat or prevent gas, it contains Dimethicone in some countries and Simethicone in others, depending on which is more readily available. However, a tablet available in the U.S. by prescription with an A-007 5 marking is a 5mg Abilify tablet, it is an atypical antipsychotic that's most commonly used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depression. round blue pill with the number 44 then its underlined and then the number 132 44_ 132 ## Hi Barry, The only pill I can locate that relates to the description you provided is Simethicone 80 mg. The imprint on this pill is 44 137, however I couldn't find an image of the pill itself, so the placement of these numbers is a mystery to me. The brand "Gas-ex" contains Simethicone and I have heard from a pharmacist that some OTC pills begin with the numbers 44 and end with a 3 digit number so it is possible that this could be similar to the pill you have. does,any one knows what white pill with s 610 on it,what is it for????? maybe gas pill????? ## I can't find a listing for this in any of the U.S. prescription drug databases. And if it's an over the counter product, it may be very difficult to identify, because they don't have to log their imprints with the FDA. Most gas products, however, are gelcaps and not tablets, which usually contain Simethicone. It could possibly be an antacid: Was it found in the U.S.? ## Could be 019 (610 upside down)? If so, perhaps it's Actavis' alprazolam 25mg ODT. They're small and round. No "s" though.

I am taking Nitrofur-macr, will simethicone dilute it's effect on the infection ## i am not finding any interactions, efficacy problems listed, but you should check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain. The Nitrofurantoin may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and sun sensitivity. Is there anything else I can help with?
