I haven't found any interaction information on Demetrin (Prazepam), but as far as the others go, there are potentially unsafe interactions found between all of your medications. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of:

The following applies to: Trepiline (amitriptyline) and Co-diovan (valsartan + hydrochlorothiazide)…

"Hydrochlorothiazide and amitriptyline may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate. These side effects are most likely to be seen at the beginning of treatment, following a dose increase, or when treatment is restarted after an interruption. Let your doctor know if you develop these symptoms and they do not go away after a few days or they become troublesome. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you, and use caution when getting up from a sitting or lying position."

The following applies to: Trepiline (amitriptyline) and Bilocor (bisoprolol)…

"Bisoprolol and amitriptyline may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate. These side effects are most likely to be seen at the beginning of treatment, following a dose increase, or when treatment is restarted after an interruption. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you, and use caution when getting up from a sitting or lying position."

The following applies to: Co-diovan (valsartan + hydrochlorothiazide) and Bilocor (bisoprolol)…

"Using hydrochlorothiazide and bisoprolol together may lower your blood pressure and slow your heart rate. This can cause dizziness, or feeling like you might pass out, weakness, fainting, fast or irregular heartbeats, or loss of blood glucose control. If you take both medications together, tell your doctor if you have any of these symptoms. You may need a dose adjustment or need your blood pressure checked more often to safely use both medications.

If you are receiving valsartan and bisoprolol together with a medication called an ACE inhibitor, you should talk to your doctor to make sure this treatment is appropriate for your condition. When used in the treatment of heart failure, this three drug combination has been associated with increased side effects and an increased rate of death. The reason for this is not clear. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor."

Was your doctor also aware of any interactions before prescribing all these medications at once?

I have very high blood pressure over a period of 15 years. Sometimes like 225/125.. usually runs from say 125/95 upwards. I take Co-diovan (I use Co-Zemevek 12.5) and atenalol. Now and then I take Bicorol 10mg more for trembling at times of my right hand.
I never had high cholesterol: Two days ago done a blood test and the reading was 4.03. My heart/pulse beat is usually about 57 to 70 at most.. I have been to two top heart specialists, kept me for a whole day and found nothing wrong at all...like narrowed veins, hardening of arteries, etc but could not recommend a thing to help. My own diagnoses is that I get High blood pressure from stress, anxiety..even looking at a football match or involved in a heavy discussion about a topic. I understood that Co-Diovan is a different Blocker than Bicorol. i was wondering whether I cannot cut out Atenalol or even Co-Diovan..I pay a lot of money for the latter and I suppose it helps a bit but nothing remarkable. Anyway any good advice will be appreciated....I am 75 now and otherwise in good health....although I think I dont get enough physical exercise. Thank you
