Side Effects Of Ibuprofen

My partner has been taking two 200mg Ibuprofen every morning for about 3 years. He has become quite lethargic, lost his appetite and is sleeping 12 hours per night. Is it the tablets?

It is really hard to say, those aren't typical side effects for that dosage. The NIH lists them as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation.

Is he on any other medications that you know of?

When was the last time he consulted a doctor?

I was in a car accident when i was 17, i am now 57. My head went in the back of the drivers seat and broke my nose. There were 5 of us in a little Pinto and we hit the curb on our side of the road and spun went airborne and hit a tree head on. They never checked my spine after that and when i got to be abt 37 i had to have an MRI. 7 of 12 disc were herniated with my 7th cervical being in my spinal cord almost making me paralyzed. I had two surgeries back then and now i have the metal plate over 4 disc and 11 herniated disc in my back with nerve damage in my arms. 6 disc in my lower back are stacked on top of each other herniated. I have degenerative disc disease stenosis and myelopathy. Along with Fibromyalgia. And several other heath problems. I took aspirins my whole life. Goody powders, excedrin, ibuprofen, vanquish, and anything else over the counter. Now my stomach has terrible acid reflux and gastroparesis. I've also had an umbilical/abdominal hernia repair in my stomach. I have a hard time believing that the damned Government can tell me what to take for pain. I challenge anybody to walk in my shoes. The next thing that this wonderful America will be seeing is the biggest outbreak of suicide. Maybe thats their way of cutting the SSA budget. Im NOT GOING TO TRY to live in pain. I did it for the first part of my life. I think i should be able to age in comfort. Its all just straight bulls***. I don't drink or do street drugs. But why not. Hell. If they are gonna do this, what's the use of trying to have integrity?
