Shot Issues
UpdatedHi there! I am 27 and have been on lovenox injections (2 a day) for over a year due to a stroke when I was 25. I have A LOT of scar tissue that has built up and its getting harder and harder to do the shots. Anybody have tips or tricks on how to make is easier? Also, I get some bad red, swollen, warm to the touch and painful injection sites from time to time. Should I worry about these? Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

I am 28 weeks pregnant and I have to take Lovenox due to a blood clotting factor. My shots are getting harder and harder to take as well. I've tried taking them in my legs and butt as well as my stomach. They hurt so bad that sometimes I skip it and I'm terrified of losing my baby. I want more children but fear taking this shot so many more times. My dr prescribed this numbing cream but it does not work. I've heard of a type of shot called an air syring needle, and I've been researching it to see if I can take lovenox using it but can't find anything out. This type of needle works by pushing the med through the pores of your skin instead of injecting with a needle. I don't know how painful this is but it's gotta beat a needle everyday. If you find out anything please let me know. Thank you.
