Scared To Start Trintellix

I'm scared to start Trintellix. I have Major Depression. I get scared to start any new medicines but especially depression meds. My Dr gave me samples. I was also waiting to see if my insurance would cover it. (New insurance Oct. 1st) They said no unless I can produce dates and why others wouldn't work. That's impossible. I take Vyvanse and Klonopin. I've taken myself off depression medicines if they make me feel bad or weird. I can't take any that will make me gain weight. That just adds to the depression. After back surgery I only have 10 more lbs to lose. I can't do anything that I used to do because of back problems, so inactivity and not doing the things I love has made my depression worse. Other issues as well. I feel empty, things that used to make me shine don't. I looked at life with a positive outlook. I could write a book but will stop. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Your doctor should have those records in your file, when the others were prescribed and why they didn't work for you, so they should be able to provide you with that information, or send it directly to your insurance company.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this one as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth.

With all due respect, are you currently being treated by a mental health professional? taking yourself off of drugs arbitrarily when they make you feel weird without first consulting your prescriber is defeating the purpose of drug therapy.Furthermore The two drugs you mentioned can in themselves cause severe depression and psychotic episodes. I'd suggest discussing this with your provider and be honest about everything your taking proper medication monitoring is essential in the treatment of complicated chemical imbalance's and disorders.I wish you the very best...

I have lost all motivation for living I a m 78 look 58 just lot my job stopped working out 3x a week go to sleep at 5 am and sleep till 4pm then go to Starbucks adnd stay till they close come home and do it all over again.
