Sandoz Has Disappeared - What's The Next Best Option?

Updated

I've been on Sandoz/Eon Labs Adderral 20MG for something like 10-15 years and it's always worked beautifully for me. However, it's become harder and harder to find in my area over the years (South Orange County, California).

I called 15 pharmacies this morning and no one had it (both franchises and small mom and pop pharmacies). One pharmacy said it was "discontinued." Another one said Sandoz was bought out by another company and is no longer producing the medication. I've been told by multiple locations that "only people who already have it in stock are going to have it" and it won't be possible to order it.

I'm at a loss for those of you who have reacted well to Sandoz, is there any other brand you've responded well to? I'm kinda desperate here.

Seems there aren't many good options. I recently got Aurobindo 20mg. It's totally hit or miss. It seems like there are mixed placebos in the script Although, they're not sugar bills because they all taste bitter.

Aurobindo has given me a variety of results. Some pills do nothing. Some seem super potent, some make me drowsy/foggy and only a few actually work like they're supposed to. When they work they're awesome. The rest of the time i'm on the verge of a panic attack, falling asleep, or feeling frustrated that nothing is happening at all!

Re: Mason (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

There are NO other generics you've tried that have more consistent results?

Re: Lyssinna (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

It's the only one i've tried. From reading around on different threads I see that people are having issues with about every generic currently available. Sorry I don't have any more info. I just started Adderall recently and the only type i've tried are the Aurobindo ones. Was just giving my experience on that. Good luck.

Lyssinna,

It's unfortunate that you found a drug that works well with you and now it's being discontinued. When I was first being treated for my disabilities I had to go through a plethora of medications to find ones that would work well with me. Unfortunately the medications that worked best for some made me violently ill while other less used medications worked miracles for me.

It is understandable to ask others in a similar situation what works for them but ultimately it would be best for you to discuss this with your primary care physician. Only you and the medical professionals who have access to your medical records would know what medication will be right for you.

I hope that you find a medication that works well with you sooner than later. Best of luck.
