Saliva Drug Screen

Hi I am prescribed many medications. I take 1 mg Xanax 3 x a day. I had 2 saliva drug tests which didn't show Xanax. Also I smoked marijuana the day before and it didn't show up either. I also get chronic dry mouth from Wellbutrin, I smoke....etc
Vicodin and soma showed up. Adderall showed up. Could any medications or lack of saliva affect the outcome of the test? I don't understand why the tests aren't showing my meds??
