Safety On Oralcon Contraceptive

Hi, how are you and thank you for having me post this question. I am a first time contraceptive user and have been given Oralcon by a clinic sister. My question is and as I understand, should I start with the first white pill on the the day of my menstruation and when getting to the first red pill, will that be the start of my next period? This is all very new to me so please excuse the silly but yet important questions. Thanking you.

Yes, you should start it the first day of your period, that provides immediate protection from pregnancy, since it will prevent ovulation this cycle.

And yes, the red tablets are when you will get your next period, though it may not necessarily start when you take the first one, it may actually start a day or so after you start taking the red ones.
