Repatha Side Effects

What side effects have been experienced with this drug?

I have been advised to take Repatha. Since I am sensitive, and had a bad experience with another Amgen drug, I am skeptical. What have others experienced?

What other medication did you have a problem with?

Reactions to a medication are usually due to an ingredient, and are rarely manufacturer dependent.

Repatha is used to treat high LDL cholesterol, many of these types of medications are known to cause some very annoying side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle aches.

How high is your cholesterol? What other methods have you tried for lowering it? Are you on any other medications?

Currently I take Rosuvastatin, my Cholesterol has come way down to almost perfect, but I fo have a plaque problem. I have days when I am debilitated with tight weak muscles, also stomach pain, and bladder pain. I have Fibromyalgia and Interstitial Cystitis. I know that Statins and Fibro don’t mix; apparently IC and Statins don’t mix either. The other Amgen drug I took was Prolia, that was a disaster. I am not the only one who took that drug and had problems. Additionally the drug I took for IC has caused me to have Macular Degeneration, so I am wary of pharmaceuticals. At present I am on the tiniest of doses of Rosuvastatin, I am afraid of another drug, especially an injectable as that is not as easy to manage dosing.
