Regestrone Side Effects

i am 22 yr old girl....unmarried.....i was having irregular period....my doctor advised me to take regestrone 5mg tab....twice daily for 21 days.i got my period the next day i stopped taking tablets.....this time my period last for 9 days.since then i have stopped taking the tablets....not consuming any other medicine.....but then also i have missed my period for 2 months....so i am bit worried......is this normal or is there any side effect due to consuming regesterone tab....kindly tell...i am bit worried...plz help me

Regestrone is a form of the female hormone Progesterone, it is often given to women with irregular menstrual cycles, because is essential to the female reproductive cycle and, if you do not produce the proper amount in your body, it can cause problems, such as the ones you are experiencing.

As with any medication, there is always a risk of side effects, this one might cause: nausea, headache, breakthrough bleeding and weight changes.

Why didn't you continue the medication as instructed by your doctor? Have you consulted them, again, yet?

Due to irregular periods i have taken Regestrone for 21 days twice daily as per my gynaec advice, on the 22nd day i got my periods... its going on now... the bleeding is very heavy... some kind of blood chains also come during bleeding.. My gynae told me to meet her if it doesnt stop in 5 days but looking at the flow it doesnt look like it would stop for 5 days... Is Regestrone given to regularize periods? now that i have taken it for 21days already, will my periods be regularized hereafterwards?

I am 44 yrs old and have two children. Everytime my periods were normal. Since last month it became irregular. I had heavy bleeding. On testing I fouind that I have fibroids because of which I have heavy bleeding. Doctor has adviced to take regestrone and then later hystrectomy is the only solution. I just want to know whether removal of uterus is the only solution.

hi...... im 26 yr old,i had normal mensus cycle....... i took regestrone to postpone my cycle,i took it for 15 days (once daily). i got the periods next day i stopped it. but after dat my periods skipped in the next month. is that expected?

I am 25 yrs old, my last period date is 25th feb.. today is 25th april, Am not get preganant bcz I done HCG test in that result was came as non preganant, aft doctor advised I took registrone for 1 week.. aft that I stopped but 5 days passed away my mensus not come.. is there any problem..

me n my gf 1st time meets at 26 jun
& simply we sleep.we not cross our limit but she not get her period(4july)
so i give her regestron 3day 3tym course.
so it will be safe?
n if by chance she is pregnent than she will b alryt coz of regestron??i give 3day course of it on 10july.

hi........ had intercourse with ma girl friend on may n she missed hr periods n didnt put ma cum in...... We have checked prenency test for 3 times each after 2 weeks bt it was negative???? Is she pregnent??? n do regestrone will help hr to hv periods

Hi I'm 23 year old. I'd physical relation in January after which i had a proper periods up to April 15. I don't get my period since April. In the duration I'd done masturbation lots of time.Is it a cause to my delayed period.? Now last tym my doc suggested me regestrone so i started to taking it.... I have pcods.4 months back I used novelon tablets for 3 months with my doctors advice.but 4th month I didn't get my period on time.so I used regesterone medicine for 7 days.for this month also can I use regesterone.
Is there any problem for using regesterone frequently

Hi, i am 28 yrs old, and married. after 21 days I missed my first period, and UPT and blood test results were negative, I was advised by the doctor to take Registrone 5mg. I took those pills, 14days passed by , still I did not get my periods, so I did UPT again, it is showing +ve now. I am getting stomach cramps, I am confused.will those tabs effect my pregnancy?

hi I m ankita gupta and my age is 22years, I got married and I have a baby 18months, I got baby with cesarean delivery before 18 months, after that my period is not stopping till now. I consulted with many doctor and they suggest to take regestrone 5mg every day up to six months. After that it will be became normal, but it has been 18 months completed, still same problem I'm suffering. Is there any side effect taking regestrone 5mg tablets for long time? Kindly suggest me.

Hi. I'm 30 years old I have pcod problem since 1 year suffering from irregular periods, now I under a treatment to get conceive.. My doctor suggested me regestrone 5 mg for 21 days bcoz I have a polyp.. Followed by 3 days to 21 days I got my periods nd it's 3 day nd very less bleeding compared to regular periods of mine.. Heavy Legs cramps, lower back pain this time..
Does this helps me to clear polyp.. Normalize my womb to conceive bcoz still it's 3rd day nd may it get extand days of my this period.. Please suggest..
