From what I could gather, Brentuximab vedotin injection is used in patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma who have otherwise not responded to stem cell transplants (procedure that replaces diseased bone marrow with healthy bone marrow) or at least two treatments of chemotherapy.

Refractory Hodgkin's lymphoma is basically a form of cancer pertaining to the white blood cells (lymphocytes); which make up a large part of the lymphatic system. The term Refractory simply means that the lymphoma is resistant to primary treatment options.
