White Oblong Pill A 333 Not Working
(Newest replies first)

Updated

Hi I just started taking this A333 white oblong pill. (Generic Percocet. 10/325). I never had this type before and got it due to pharmacy supply. My question is has anyone noticed a difference in pain relief from other brands. Maybe it's me but it doesn't seem to work as well. Can't wait to hear some other input on this. Thanks.

I had APL TENDON THUMB ARTHROPLASTY surgery in November 2014. The pain was excruciating for about 2 weeks. But I received 10mg Percocet that relieved that pain and allowed me to sleep. I just had surgery today (1/19/2015) to remove the K-wire (pin) that was inserted in November (7 minute surgery). I was given a Percocet Rx and Walgreens filled it with the ACTAVIS A332. THIS DRUG DID NOT RELIEVE PAIN, CAUSED HEADACHE AND STOMACH PAIN! I can't sleep and waiting for the doctor to get into the office and change the medication. All the information given on this site is so appreciated. THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO ALL.

I think they work better than the ones that have no Tylenol, tiny little pink 10 MG with no Tylenol. I think everyone just likes the pure purrs because they abuse them but I actually feel more pain relief from those big white 10 MG than the little ones but I don't abuse them.

Hey tracy....fyi.....I had to pay for my endocets last month due to a lapse in my insurance from a mistake they made....im getting refunded, but the cost were $235. Then I asked my pharmacist if he knew of any of those discount med cards n he said he had one he would apply to my meds and they turned out to cost me $119. So anyone paying out of pocket, ask ur pharmacist if he happens to know of or have any discount cards you can apply to your bill to bring the cost down!

Sunni, contact the FDA yourself. Do not trust the pharmaceutical company to do it! You can go to the FDA website and fill out a MedWatch form.....I believe you can do it online. If not, I think you can print it out, fill it out and mail or fax back to FDA.

Leo, I call and talked to someone at Actavis 3 days ago.....they did not seem interested in anything I had to say. That tells me that they are hearing the same horror stories from many people and yet they aren't going to do anything about it! I do not see why they can't use watsons formula. Someone I know gets hydrocodone made by Watson. The Watson name & number is on the pills. So, why can't they do the same with oxy? I am thoroughly disgusted! I also contacted the FDA. They are sending me the MedWatch form to fill out....I did hear you can fill it out online also. We all need to ban together and keep calling in our complaints. Without that, there is nothing anyone can do.

Vernon.... in my experience, Actavis is not cheaper to the consumer! All oxycodone Rex's seem to be outrageously priced! I pain $218 for 180 tabs in October. To me, that is not cheap! Not when you can get Endocet from Endo pharm for under $100 for the same med! And, hydrocodone is way cheaper yet. I have a hard time with hydrocodone and that is why I was changed to oxycodone. I am seriously thinking about going back to the Norco and putting up with the extreme headaches because I never want to go through what I'm going through now! There is no guarantee that I will never get Actavis again! I am so tired of our pain meds going to crap! My pain is so freaking out of control, not to mention the other terrible side effects!

Hi, Bill. No, it isn't just you. There have been many complaints about he Actavis oxycodone and a year and a half ago, complaints on their hydrocodone as well. People, including myself, are complaining of no pain relief, terrible side effects and even going through Withdrawl while taking them. You need to call Actavis and the FDA and complain. The FDA will investigate if they get enough complaints. Don't ask me what enough is since people have been complaining since last January and nothing, it seems, has been done! These meds are pure crap! I've never had a med make me so sick in my life!

Bill, your the latest to post your dicontent with this pill form. I had just posted your same concerns about a week ago. There is a lady posting on this exact problem, her name is Jennifer. Continue reading down on the other comments. She is well informed. Unfortunately the drug companies arent paying us much attention. You might ask your doctor for something different for your pain management. Good lucl tp you and God bless.

SYLVIA, if youre no longer taking your usual pain meds, your body can be going through withdrawals at the same time.

I was giving a332 by my doctor which ate 7.5 325mg. They made my stomach hurt so I decided to look the pill up on the web and was amazed ar how many people r having problems with the pills with this manufactor. I did not take anymore and the next day my stomach was still boring me and I had no energy. I took vitamins and got enough strength to take the .meds back to Walgreen. They took the meds back and told me they will call the doctor about this tomorrow. As I write this I am in the bed and I have no energy and my stomach is still upset. If I don't feel any better soon I will go to er. I have been taken pain meds for years and I have never had a reaction like this before.

Actacrap. ..that explains it! Dont remember if I mentioned it before but straight oxycodone is now made with an abuse deterrent formula which is why its probably harder to break

Jennifer, just found the manufacturers name-ACTAVIS. Yup, I'll be requesting my oxycodone 15mg back. Glad I'm not crazy. I'm a retired nurse and couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting relief using the ACTAVIS. I know now. I thought the FDA monitored this but guess I was thonking wrong.

Jennifer, I've looked everywhere on the bottle and all the labels but found no manufacturers name. I did have the prescription filled at Walgreens. I will be requesting the oxycodone 15mg green tablets back even though the are a pain to cut. The only reason I changed was because not only do I have severe back and shoulder pain but also suffer from COPD with asthma, so the 15mg was interfering with my breathing to much whereas if I cut/broke them in half I could adjust them for my breathing. I just got to a point where I couldn't break them anymore and the pill cutter was not capable off cutting them right at the score mark without making very unequal cuts. Guess I should jave left well enough alone.

They just switched me from the 15mg oxycodone(the green one without tylenol) to the 7.5 oxycodone with 325mg tylenol. I too find that even though I had been cutting the 15mg in half and taking only 7.5mg at a time the 7.5 with tylenol does not seem as effective. So I'll be asking to get my 15mg oxycodone back, and continue to cut them in half.

Ty...idk who "they" are....but ive talked to actacrap pharmaceuticals many times....once u call n complain, theyll call u a few times after n godforbid u ask a question, they refer u to another dept n take a message. ..then that dept calls u n tells u its another dept n takes another message n on n on....u get it im sure...but each time I talked to someone there, I tried n tried to pick their brains. ...even tricked them a few times into answering my questions or confirming things they probably shouldnt hv.....but not once have any of them told me its the same formula... in fact they told me when actavis took over completely, they chose to use the Actavis generic formula n discontinue the watson formula. Some have even admitted to getting alot of calls with similar if not the same complaints n they were working diligently to ensure quality n make sure it wasnt a bad batch. ..notice uf u call, theyll ask u for a lot number on the meds? Like how would we know that? We dont deal in lots...we deal with a bottle at a time. N if they were truly concerned, they could trace our meds by dates n stores n distributors. ..blah blah....but in the end, youll end up getting a letter from them stating they couldnt do further research due to no lot number but they are taking all steps to ensure quality. ....I CALL BULLS*** BUT.....i know I rambled with that one but not once did the manufacture "actacrap" tell me it was the same formula. U can google all formulations of meds to see whats in it. Might b a good way for u to see what one that makes u ill has that another doesnt so u know what to avoid. But all in all, any pm patient should research the hell out of their meds n treatment. Knowledge is always gping to be ur power....not knowing will make u weak n clueless to ur own care. Not a dr, or pharmacist, or medicine company blow u off with a bs excuse or response if u know what ur talking about n u can only know by doing ur research. The info is out there, u just need to take ur time n take it in!

It's now manufactured by activis and it's garbage!!! Watson worked wonderfully for my pain but now this new formula (which they claim has the same recipe) only takes the edge off and makes me terribly ill to my stomach

SHADOW N LIZ....try either mallinkrodt or endocet. ...im on endocet n theyve helped...I tried mallinkrodt n they were alright but endocet works better for me. SHADOW. ..I dont think they have 7.5...u will have to up it to 10/325 but theyre better than the other generic Percocets available. Abd if u read through peoples posts n other threads, ull see these r the 2 meds that are helping the most. Theres two walgreens in my town that special order them for me. ..the other three in town wont. A lot of people have CVS special order them for them soooo, if one location tells u no, dont stop there, try another location. Keep in mind 2 things. One, dont wait till last minute to search....some of these pharmacies only put in orders certain days n u dont want to be stuck with no meds so go searching as soon as u finish reading this to see who will order them for u...when u find one that will, a week n a half before ur due, have them order ur meds so theyll b there when ur ready with ur script. Second, keep in mind ur gonna go threw withdrawals from ur previous meds n its gonna last possibly 2 weeks...mso no matter what med ur on n if it works or not, the withdrawals r gonna b there n make u think ur new med isn't working because ur hurting from withdrawals. ..so u need to give ur new meds a chance to b in ur system n work after ur bidy is done going thru withdrawals. This goes for any med that uve been on for awhile then change. Alot of pm patients who r having to change their meds now forget this.....alvogen, amneal, acta'crap'(as I call them) all do suck n dont help control ur pain at all so theres no denying that. But whatever meds u choose to try next, just keep it in mind n give em a chance. I wish u all luck n please keep us updated n posted on ur search n results. That helps us all...especially new people who come to these threads looking for help n guidance. The more knowledge we all have, the better we will b able to get our pain under control n help others!
