Has anyone experienced heavier or prolonged periods? Im 47 not sure if hornonal or if its a side effect. So far Ive had great success with 22lb loss in 5 weeks. Dont want to stop. ## Hello, LadybugJ! How are you? It has been known to cause painful periods, but not prolonged or heavier, from what I'm finding. It could be hormonal, due to your age. Have you had this checked out by your doctor? Other side effects may include palpitations, anorexia, headache and dizziness. ## I'm way late to the party here but I'm finding this. I'm 35. I was on for a month and basically had my period 3 times. Did you ever find anything out? ## Late to the party but I'm 35 with the same issue. Did it stop? Could you do anything to prevent / help it? Thanks.

I believe that Phentermine, and Qsymia are poisons. Sure they help you lose weight but the long-term side effects and trade-offs are not worth the risk. When I originally took Phentermine I lost almost eighty pounds over a two-year period. I continued to take it for almost ten more years in order to maintain my weight until I was finally hospitalized because the Phentermine had debilitated me. I was unable to sleep despite the fact that I was always exhausted and I was plagued with nightmares and unable to sustain long periods of exercise such as tidying up the house or even taking a walk. I was constantly depressed and too weak to really take charge and do anything about it. I was also always constipated and noticed a constant metallic taste in my mouth. Because so many nutrients and p...

Pharmacy says it won't work on the free trial. What can I do? It's 125.00 for 14 days ## Can you try another pharmacy or another CVS store ? ## What pharmacy does the free trial, or is their away to get a coupon. I may have to switch to another pill that's not extremely high ## Aj, you have to get a coupon from the manufacturer. Pharmacys don't just give the meds to you without a script and a coupon from the manufacturer. Who told you that there was a Free Trial for this med? Some manufacturers have criteria that you must also meet, like you must prove that you are low income and have no insurance that will cover it.

I'm looking for a Dr who prescribes qsymia in the San Francisco Bay area ## I recommend going to the Qsymia web site. If you enter your zip code, it will list doctors in area who will work with you. It will also give 'certified' pharmacies -- only certified pharmacies can give the free 14 day supply and $75 discount. You can also use their certified mail order network.

I seem to be gaining weight. The first week, I had a hard few days adjusting to it, then I got beyond it and started loosing weight , happy. Now in my 2nd week, I'm gaining weight. The Topamax in the past , alone, made me hungry/tired. Phentermine in the past worked but I was used to 37.5 mgs when it was prescribed back in the 90's. The Qsymia's paltry 3.75 mgs is pretty darn low dosage. It's too early to up the dosage to the next level which is fine by me bc. I'm afraid that when I do, the double dose of the Topamax will double my appitite; 7.5 mgs. of phentermine is still so low I'm surprised it's even prescribed. I guess I'm just a perpetual malcontent, huh. ## Hello, BostonHolly! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Are you also getting lots ...

how much phentermine and how much toperimate make up a qsymia capsule? ## Hello, Judy! How are you? According to the Qysmia website, the starting dose contains 3.75mgs of Phentermine and 23mgs of Topiramate ER. There are, however, guidelines for prescribing it, for instance, a patient must be 30kg/m2 or greater obese, or 27kg/m2 overweight with the presence of at least one medical risk factor. The possible side effects may include elevated heart rate, nausea, dizziness, insomnia and suicidal thoughts or actions. Is there anything else I can help with?

I can not afford the 150 after the free trial. Isn't there a drug company application I can fill out for assistance? ## Hi Diane, I'm not aware of the drug company application you speak of. I would suggest that you speak with your local pharmacy about patient assistance programs so that you can afford your medication. Good luck! ## Could you use the money saved from not buying food to cover the cost? ## Cheaper Qysimia! My internist understands the lengths that I have gone to in order to succeed at weight loss, including 5 years on Weight Watchers and a lapband inserted in 2008. All attempts ended in minimal weight loss despite being anal about exercising and logging my portions. I am not an over eater; for me, it comes down to having a shot metabolism, period. Qysimia helps wit...

Hello, I am trying to locate a doctor in the Charleston, SC area that prescribes Qsymia. ## Hello, Gera! How are you? There is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Really, any doctor can prescribe it. Have you talked to your PCP? They may prescribe it, or refer you to someone that will.

PLease leave a name of a physician who prescribes Qysmia. I need to lose about 35 pounds and am interested in trying this. ## Hello, Plus4! How are you? I'm sorry, but there's no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, you should discuss it with them, if they don't feel comfortable prescribing it, they should be able to refer you to someone that can.

I am looking for doctors in the Boise idaho area who prescribe qsymia or phentermine ## Hi, Jess! Unfortunately, there is no database of which doctors treat with any given medication. Are there any weigh loss specialists in your area? If so, that would probably be the first places to try as they are better informed and more knowledgeable about such issues and medications.

Looking for a doctor in Akron Ohio to prescribe qysmia. my family physician said he didn't believe in it ## Qsymia (phentermine + topiramate) is used together with diet and exercise to treat obesity. Any regular MD in your area should be able to prescribe this for you. So it may just be a matter of changing doctors if your current physician doesn't agree with its use. Did you happen to ask him why he didn't believe in it? Perhaps a more straight answer from him would help you make a more informed decision when it comes to considering this medication. All I'm saying is that he must have a good reason to not want to prescribe it for his patients. Topiramate and Phentermine both list some very undesirable side effects, and I can only assume that this may be why he doesn...

I was on qsymia for 6 weeks and lost 6 lbs in that time. My doctor didn't have it researched and decided to quit my program on it because he didn't want me on a life long perscription. this was crazy to me b/c it was not only working but would have been less than have the straight doses of 37.5mg of phentermine i had been on for 6 month intervals in the past. ## Hello, I'm not from that area so unfortunately I don't have any doctors I can refer you to. This may seem obvious, but I would just look in the yellow pages or yelp.com to find weight loss doctors in your area. I do believe that weight loss pills can be addicting for some people, so maybe that is why your doctor didn't want to keep prescribing the pill. Personally, I believe that weight loss pills/fat burners...

They should be combined with diet and exercise, so once the medication is discontinued, the weight loss can be maintained with normal healthy lifestyle habits. Learn more Qsymia details here. It's going to be very hard to find a doctor that will disagree with that and ...
