I have a skin problem. I have a rash on my face and my back so my aunt told me to use a bactrim pill because it's good. Yesterday I went to the pharmacy to fill a prescription for them. Now I just noticed that they gave me purbac instead of bactrim. I just want to know if they can be used for the same treatment in ur body? ## Yes, they both contain the same active ingredients, Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim, which are antibiotics used to treat various types of bacterial infections. The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Are you on any other medications? Do you have any known allergies? ## Neobloc a nd metopolol are the same? Neobloc100 mg and metopolol100mg are the same

Hi I have been taking Purbac, Aluvia, Tremoc and Activio vitamin for 3 years. My new doctor stop prescribing it upon seeing my CD4 account of 575. I have experienced extreme weight gain and night sweats around my neck and face even during the day. My husband has also gained belly fat since stopping it he's also been on purbac. Thanks ## Purbac is an antibiotic, it contains Sulfamethoxazole, and Trimethoprim, it is most commonly used to treat bacterial infections. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash, diarrhea, and headache. Weight gain is not a normal side effect. How are you feeling, now? Has there been any change? How old are you both of you? There is a chance that these issues could be due to just normal aging.

The best thing to do would be to inform your doctor that you were taking, so they can watch the baby for any possible problems or complications. I suffer from Herpes and get monthly blisters on my upper lip. Can Purbac treat this condition successfully? ## No, this is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of bacterial infections, however, herpes is caused by a virus, so an antibiotic will not help with it. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. There are antivirals that can help lessen the frequency of your outbreaks, so you may want to consult your doctor about trying one. Are you on any other medications? It is not common to experience monthly outbreaks, without some sort of trigger.

my pupps head is swolin on her head can i give her the medication ## Purbac contains the active ingredient Cotrimoxazole (Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim), which is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms. From what I could gather, it can be used for dogs; as some dogs are prescribed it from vets. I don't know however, what the recommended dosage would be for a dog. You may want to call up a vet office to determine what a proper dosage would be based on the size of your dog or what type of dog it is. i used the purbac 350 pills to cure vaginal thrush but i have not yet menstruated, what could be the cause of this? ## what impact does purbac 250 have on the menstrual cycle? ## @lydia pogisho, Based on my research, irregular menstruation has been reported by people with post coital contraception, birth control, multiple sclerosis, depression, stress and anxiety. I haven't been able to find much pertinent information listing it as a common side effect. I believe the side effect that is more common is random "spotting" before menstruation. I have started taking Purbac DS and Tribuss 5 days ago and I sleep day and night. I'm worried. Please help. ## Drowsiness and somnolence can be normal side effects of this medication, according to the NIH, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, and diarrhea. However, side effects tend to improve, once your body gets used to the medications you are taking, though that may take 4 to 5 weeks. How are you feeling, now? I've been using purbac for 6 months for my acne and it has worked like a miracle. I did not get any side effects. All this nonsense about side effects is bulls***, they just make you scared for no reason. Perbac is awesome and it works. ## Hello, Yussie! How are you? Not everyone experiences side effects from any given medication that they try, some people experience them all, some don't experience any, that is just the nature of people, we are all different. It has nothing to do with trying to scare people, it actually has to do with being honest and letting them know what could potentially happen. Hi, I am 21 and currently using Purbac. Its been 2 weeks now. I recently developed a rash on one side of my cheek about 2 days ago. Should I be worried? ## My daughter also had a rash on her cheeks after using Purbac...I read it's a non-allergic rash. ## Yes, this medication can cause a non-allergic skin rash as a side effect, according to the U.S. FDA, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and diarrhea. If it isn't itchy and doesn't involve hives, then it is most likely nothing to worry about, though there is no harm in consulting your doctor to be sure. Is there anything else I can help with?
