Hello,

To answer your question, Antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections. They are not effective against viral infections like the flu in humans or animals.

Have you taken your pet to a vet to get checked out yet? I would think they should be able to prescribe something that is more suitable for at least managing any flu-like symptoms.
