Prussian Blue Insoluable (radiogardase) Should Not Require A Prescription
(Newest replies first)

Updated

I want to buy some of this stuff and I simply cannot find a source on the internet and thats not fair. It appears far less dangerous than iodine, yet apparently you have to get a doctors prescription for it??! What a load of CRAP! Anybody and everybody needs ready access to ALL medicines that can protect them from radioactive poisoning. It's not a privelege granted through a doctors approval. It's a RIGHT in the age of NUCLEAR TERRORISM. The industry that controls nuclear power plants are imposing a TYRRANICAL HELL upon THE People of this world who are the majority and in total opposition against Nuclear. We have the right to protect ourselves and families in every way we can and that includes having a readyness kit that includes Prussian Blue insoluable. I for one am going to find a way to either get some or make my own.

I know this is an old post above - but Prussian Blue is my favourite colour!
I was amazed by reading about it that it could be useful for so much more!
I bought a high quality jar of artist's ground pigment years ago which I still have today.
I'm wondering if there is any difference at all between a high quality, correctly made artist's pigment and the content of these capsules!

The dangers of "improper use" are miniscule. Prussian blue has been used for medical and cosmetic purposes for centuries, and the LD50 is huge, far more than someone could ingest by accident.

That's also a load of bologna. Medical doctors in the U.S. won't even acknowledge that anyone was exposed! They won't prescribe it because they deny the need for it. This is a catch 22 for the millions of people in this country who need the drug as a result of Fukushima.

It is really the FDA that has control of this and whether or not something is publicly available over the counter or requires a prescription.

If you'd like to contact them, with your complaints, you can do so at 1-800-INFO-FDA.

The reason that Radiogardase requires a prescription and physician authorization is because the improper use of it can be just as dangerous as the radiation exposure. The dose must be carefully controlled, taking under consideration the type of radiation someone has been exposed to, as well as the length of their exposure.
