To Anoopcherian,

When it comes to various product uses, I'm not certain if the lotion is any different from the ointment, due to a lack of available information on these products. From what little information I was able to gather, the ointment is used for skin conditions and the lotion is used for hair loss.

Propysalic NF ointment/cream combines Clebatsol and Salicyclic Acid. This is a topical steroid used to treat conditions such as Psoriasis.

More info about each active ingredient can be viewed in the two links below:

Propysalic NF lotion appears to be used for treatment of hair loss. Product reviews note that the lotion is supposed to be rubbed on your scalp during treatment.

Alternatively, I would suggest considering contacting your local pharmacy for more product information, since this is not manufactured in the U.S. and online information is scarce.
